Abstract: Compounds represented by formula (I) wherein R is a C3-C5 cycloalkyl group, R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof; are useful in the treatment of cell proliferative disorders, e.g. cancer, associated with an altered cell cycle dependent kinase activity.

Abstract: 3-ureido-pyrazole derivatives represented by formula (I): where R, R1 and R2 are as described herein, or pharmnaceutically acceptable salts thereof; are useful, for example, for the treatment of cancer, cell proliferative disorders, Alzheimer's disease, viral infections, auto-immune diseases or neurodegenerative diseases.

Abstract: Novel 1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridines which are represented by formula (I): wherein R is a hydrogen or halogen atom or a group selected from —CN, —OH, —OCOR4, —(CH2)nNH2, —(CH2)nNHR4, —(CH2)nNHCOR4, —(CH2)nNHCONR4R5, —(CH2)nNHCOOR4, or —(CH2)nNHSO2R4, wherein n is either 0 or 1, R4 and R5 are as described in the specification; R1 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted alkyl group; R2 is an optionally substituted group selected from alkyl or aryl; R3 is hydrogen or a group selected from —CONR4R5, —COOR4, —CONHOR4, —SO2NHR4, alkylsulphonylaminocarbonyl or perfluorinated alkylsulphonylaminocarbonyl; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, are disclosed. These compounds are useful for treating cell proliferative disorders associated with an altered cell dependent kinase activity.

Abstract: A compound of formula (1) wherein R1 is hydrogen, hydroxy, a group of formula OR5 wherein R5 is C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl or C3-C8 cycloalkyl, halogen, amino which may be unsubstituted or mono or disubstituted by C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, aralkyl, acyl or trifluoroacetyl; R2 is hydrogen, hydroxy, a group NR6R7 wherein R6 and R7 independently represent hydrogen, an optionally substituted C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, C3-C8 cycloalkyl or, taken together with the nitrogen atom, represent an optionally substituted C3-C8 heterocyclic ring; R3 is hydrogen, hydroxy, R4 is a 2-substituted thiazolyl or imidazolyl system and the pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, is useful in the treatment of amyloidosis. Processes for the preparation and pharmaceutical compositions are also described.

Abstract: Compounds which are 3-amino-pyrazole derivatives represented by formula (I): where R is a C3-C6 cycloalkyl group, which may optionally be substituted by a straight or branched C1-C6 alkyl group, and R1 is a straight or branched C1-C6 alkyl group or a C2-C4 alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, arylcarbonyl, aryloxyalkyl and arylalkenyl, which may be optionally substituted; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The compounds are useful for the treatment of cancer, cell proliferative disorders, Alzheimer's disease, viral infections, auto-immune diseases or neurodegenerative diseases.

Abstract: Ergoline derivatives of the formula I: ##STR1## wherein R represents hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; R.sub.1 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine or methyl; either R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 both represent hydrogen or together represent a chemical bond; R.sub.4 represents a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 hydrocarbon group; each of R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.8 and R.sub.9 independently represents hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl; R.sub.7 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, phenyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl and n is 0, 1 or 2; are prepared by reaction between compounds of the formulae II and III: ##STR2## and subsequent cyclization of the resultant compounds. The compounds of the formula I are known useful anxiolytic, antipsychotic and anti-parkinson agents.

Abstract: Ergoline derivatives of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 =H,CH.sub.3 ; R.sub.2 =H, halogen, CH.sub.3, CN, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkylthio or phenylthio; R.sub.3 =C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 hydrocarbon; R.sub.4 =H, OCH.sub.3 ; R.sub.5 =H and R.sub.6 =--CH.dbd.CH--CONHR.sub.7 or R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 =.dbd.CH--CONHR.sub.7 ; R.sub.7 =2-thiazolyl, 3-pyridazinyl, 1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl or 4-pyrimidinyl group optionally substituted, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, display activity on the Central Nervous System and are useful as antiprolactinic agents. Their preparation and pharmaceutical compositions containing them are also described.

A process for their preparation and pharmaceutical compositions containing them are also described.

A method for their preparation is also provided.The compounds have anti-depressive, anti-hypertensive and antiprolactin activity.

Abstract: There are provided ergoline compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R.sub.2 is a hydrogen or halogen atom, a methyl or thiomethyl group; R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom or a methoxy group; R.sub.4 is a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; n is 1 or 2; each of R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 independently is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, or a phenyl or hydroxy or alkoxy group having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and X is an oxygen atom or a group of the formula NR.sub.7 wherein R.sub.7 is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms and a phenyl group, or a group of the formula N.dbd.C--R.sub.8 wherein the carbon atom is positioned between the nitrogen atoms in the ring and R.sub.8 is an amino, substituted amino, methyl, phenyl, thiomethyl or mercapto group. The compounds have antihypertensive and antiprolactin activity.
