  • Patent number: 8612069
Abstract: A method is provided for dynamically consolidating items of an aeronautical procedure in order to present to the operator the best action to perform according to the context of all the systems, in order to reduce his cognitive workload faced with an action to be carried out. The method consists, for each item of a procedure, in determining the text of the requested action, in choosing the text of the corresponding response that the crew must perform according to the general state and the configuration of the aircraft, in incorporating in the corresponding item the texts of the requested action and of the corresponding response, in displaying this duly enriched item, in detecting whether the requested action has indeed been accomplished and in displaying the result of this detection.

  • Publication number: 20130325216
Abstract: A system and method for authorizing stoppage of piloting tasks performed by at least one pilot of an aircraft equipped with automatic piloting means is disclosed. A duration for which the stoppage is authorized is determined, the duration being determined based on the calculation of an instant of commencement of a next action, and the next action being an action not yet carried out that must be carried out first by the pilot. The duration is then displayed.

  • Patent number: 8498755
Abstract: A device for the coherent management of data deriving from different surveillance systems of an aircraft includes: a flight management system, the function of which is to assist the crew in following a flight plan of the aircraft and an associated trajectory; a surveillance system, the function of which is to detect any obstacles in proximity to the aircraft; a warning management system, the function of which is to detect abnormal situations and to display for the crew, where appropriate, warnings, such as potentially critical alarms or non-critical alerts, and the associated procedures to be followed when such exist; in which said flight management system, said surveillance system and said warning management system are interconnected and cooperate so that at least the warning management system has access to the flight plan of the aircraft, and is configured to display for the crew a summary of the situation when the surveillance system detects an obstacle that the aircraft should avoid according to the fligh

  • Patent number: 8443368
Abstract: The present invention pertains to the field of onboard flight management systems embedded in aircraft. The invention relates to a reconfiguration device (1) for reconfiguring a task processing context. The reconfiguration device (1) according to the invention notably comprises: a module for managing the tasks to be carried out (2), performing a sorting of the tasks according to a priority criterion; a module for managing a current task (3), managing the state of progress of the current task; a module for managing a context (4), saving contexts relating to the current task, to a highest priority task and restoring one of the contexts saved on order of an operator. The present invention notably finds its application in the management of tasks for piloting an aircraft, for example the management of tasks originating from a system for managing alerts and procedures.

  • Publication number: 20110210871
Abstract: The invention relates to an aircraft navigational aid system with 3D display including an anti-collision device, with means of storing data representing obstructions, means for calculating a representation of the obstructions in a three-dimensional space and a device for displaying the obstructions data in three dimensions. The system includes means for augmenting the display of the representation of the area of hazardous obstructions with at least two indicator objects for the said area of hazardous obstructions disposed together in such a manner as to form a third object targeting the localization of the point in the area of hazardous obstructions closest to the aircraft. The invention also relates to the method of display of the indicator objects in a three-dimensional display.
