  • Publication number: 20230041973
Abstract: A security device is disclosed comprising a main housing, a power supply housing releasable from the main housing and a release arrangement configured to provide a release process in which the power supply housing is moveable from an installed configuration to a released configuration via a partially released configuration. A power connection is provided for supply of power to the security device when the power supply housing is in the partially released configuration. Processing circuitry is configured to obtain power via the power connection and receive an indication that the power supply housing has moved from the installed configuration and/or to the partially released configuration.

  • Patent number: 10230252
Abstract: A method and system for charging a battery is provided. A group charging policy specifying a conditional charging behavior for charging a battery of a computing device is stored in a memory of the computing device. The computing device is coupled to a power source. Battery status data is received, via a communications interface of the device, for each of at least one other computing device coupled to the power source. A power draw rate for charging the battery of the computing device is throttled according to the group charging policy and the battery status data of the computing device and the at least one other computing device.

  • Patent number: 8428905
Abstract: A data acquisition device for an auto triggering thereof includes a movement detector, a distance detector, a processor, and a data acquiring component. The movement detector detects movement data of the data acquisition device. The movement data indicates a state of movement for the data acquisition device. The state of movement is one of static and dynamic. The distance detector detects distance data between the data acquisition device and an object to which data is to be acquired. The processor receives the movement data to determine the state of movement and, when the state of movement is determined to be static, receives the distance data to determine the distance of the object from the data acquisition device. The data acquiring component acquires the data from the object when the processor initially determines that the state of movement is static and subsequently determines the distance is within a predetermined range.
