Abstract: Apparatus for transition management in an a priori undefined animation sequence that combines a plurality of separate animation clips having a category determination unit for determination of category classifications of succeeding animation clips in a sequence and indicating whether the category classifications are the same or different, and a blending unit for defining the blending operation depending on the category determination, resulting in a smooth overall transition.
