A collaboration program includes functionality for collaborative management of activities occurring during the entire lifecycle of a meeting. Using the collaboration program, meeting participants can collaborate on the creation of a meeting agenda prior to the occurrence of a meeting, can independently take and exchange meeting notes during a meeting, and can collaboratively generate a meeting summary following the meeting. The meeting agenda, meeting notes, and meeting summaries can be synchronized to a shared workspace accessible to each of the meeting participants through the collaboration program.

If the search string occurs anywhere within the shared workspace, the methods may report where the search string occurs within the shared workspace.
