Abstract: A reconfigurable interior structure for safes and the like includes a vertical divider supporting a reconfigurable rack having cut-out portions, the reconfigurable rack being alterable to appear and function as a solid continuous shelf by installation of removable cover plates which cover one or more of the cut-out portions and thus alter the configuration provided, additional alternative interior configurations being possible by selective addition or removal of removable shelves supported by the vertical divider.

Abstract: A hinge assembly composed of a planar-surfaced mounting bracket, a pivoted connection means, and an approximately "J"-shaped leaf member is disclosed. The hinge, being configured to function in a concealed fashion, operates to pivotedly mount a recessed door within a security enclosure.

Abstract: A lightweight safe having an unique door mechanism is disclosed. The lightweight safe has a front opening with a recessed door frame to accommodate a recessed door having dead-bolts which are positioned behind one edge of the door frame when the door is in a closed position and movable locking bolts which may be locked behind an opposed edge of the door frame when the door is in a locked condition. The opening mechanism involves the use of a locking shaft having a pair of roll pins which interact with a handle lever to provide a smooth acting opening mechanism and to provide shear means in the event the handle of the safe is forced when the safe is in a locked condition.

Abstract: A specialized vehicle for movement along a path parallel to a plurality of containers for dispensing molten asphalt from the vehicle into the containers. The vehicle is configured to physically locate the operator and the controls at the rear corner of the vehicle so that the operator can readily oversee and control movement of the vehicle and the asphalt dispensing operations.

Abstract: A machine for cleaning residual and foreign materials from random cracks and expansion joints in pavement subsequent to the opening of such cracks and joints and preparatory to placement of filler-sealer materials therein. The machine includes an open wheeled carriage which carries a platform between its side rails and an engine is mounted on the platform to drive a rotary brush and to drive a blower mechanism. The engine platform is pivotably connected to the carriage for raising and lowering the rotary brush, and the outlet from the blower mechanism is fixed to the wheeled carriage immediately behind the rotary brush.

The machine includes an open carriage having an opposed pair of side wheels and a shroud mounted in the carriage intermediate the side wheels. A cutter wheel is journaled in the shroud for rotation about a horizontal axis, and the cutter wheel is driven by an engine mounted atop the shroud. The shroud is pivotably coupled to the carriage for raising and lowering of the cutter wheel by moving the axis of the cutter wheel in an arc which passes through the axis of the carriage wheels.

Abstract: An apparatus for removing sealants from expansion joints in pavement slabs preparatory to replacement of the sealant is adapted for demountable attachment to the rear of a motorized vehicle. The apparatus includes a frame which is pivotably movable about a horizontal axis by means of a linear actuator. A carriage, having a cutting tool bit carried in a tool holder at the trailing edge thereof, is supported on the frame so as to be pivotably movable therewith with such movement employed for positioning and holding the cutting tool in the joint being cleaned. The carriage is free to laterally slide relative to the frame for freely tracking the expansion joint being cleaned.
