    Abstract: A system for calculating a cost for a wire harness assembly includes a controller. The controller receives a computer generated three-dimensional (3D) model of the wire harness assembly for extracting a number of parameters from the computer generated 3D model, the number of parameters being associated with a material of one or more components of the wire harness assembly, dimensions of the one or more components of the wire harness assembly, and a manufacturing process of the wire harness assembly. The controller also analyzes the number of parameters for determining the cost for the wire harness assembly. The controller further generates a report indicative of the cost for the wire harness assembly. The system also includes a user interface communicably coupled with the controller. The user interface receives and presents the report indicative of the cost for the wire harness assembly.
