Abstract: The present invention relates to a polarizer and a method for produce for producing the same, and an LCD device. The polarizer includes a glass substrate and a metal wire grating disposed on the glass substrate. The polarizer disposed on the LCD device can greatly lower cost of the polarizer and the LCD device. Besides, the polarizer does not absorb incident lights so as to greatly reduce energy loss of lights passing through the polarizer and improve the utilization rate of light energy.

Abstract: A method for estimating a probability of failure of a least-squares ambiguity decorrelation adjustment (LAMBDA) method is provided. The LAMBDA method is used for estimation of double difference carrier phase integer ambiguity. A plurality of condition sets are selected. Each condition set comprises a probability of failure (Pboot-fail) for a boot-strap method of estimation of the double difference carrier phase integer ambiguity, a number of space vehicles (Nsv), and a ratio test tolerance for the LAMBDA method. A plurality of Monte Carlo simulations are run on the plurality of condition sets to obtain a plurality of result sets. Each result set comprises a probability of lambda fail (P?-fail) and a probability of lambda reject (P?-reject) for one condition set of the plurality of condition sets. A lookup table is created with the plurality of result sets. A value of P?-fail for given values of P?-reject, Pboot-fail, and Nsv is estimated through employment of the lookup table.

Abstract: A vision system is provided to determine a positional relationship between a photovoltaic device wafer on a platen and a printing element, such as a printing screen, on a remote side of the photovoltaic device wafer from the platen. A source emits ultraviolet light along a path that is transverse to a longitudinal axis of an aperture through the platen, and a diffuser panel is located along that path. A reflector directs the light from the diffuser panel toward the aperture. A video camera is located along the longitudinal axis of the aperture and produces an image using light received from the platen aperture, wherein some of that received light was reflected by the wafer. A band-pass filter is placed in front of the camera to block ambient light. The use of diffused ultraviolet light enhances contrast in the image between the wafer and the printing element.

The media filter withholds communication of selected non-media information by a remote access controller associated with a virtual media device and generates simulated responses to the withheld communication for return to the virtual media device. In one embodiment, predetermined non-media access commands are withheld from communication to a network unless a timeout timer is expired. The timeout timer is set for a time period that precludes a media change between timeout timer expirations and is reset with successful response to a command through the network.

Handover paths are established to accommodate a plurality of quality of service properties. Admission control is performed that considers the established handover paths and an established first reservation path. Gateways are contacted to determine a handover path to use. The determined handover path is used to support vertical handover. A second reservation path is established while maintaining the first reservation path and the handover path.
