    Abstract: The present application discloses methods, devices and computer systems for performing operations on objects in an object list. After detecting a swipe gesture on the touch screen, a computer system, e.g. a smart phone, can identify a target object of the swipe gesture. The computer system can also determine the direction of the swipe gesture and a preset operation corresponding to the direction. If the swiping distance of the swipe gesture is sufficiently long, the identified operation is performed on the target object without additional confirmation from the user. Different directions of the swipe gesture result in different operations that are of different nature. A warning message can be displayed when the swiping distance of the swipe gesture is greater than a threshold value.
