    Abstract: An air flow generating device includes an enclosing wall, a frame sheet, a cover film, and a vibrating part. The frame sheet is disposed inside an air flow passage formed by the enclosing wall and closely contacts the air flow passage by its periphery. The cover film includes a central connection portion fixed to a central portion of the frame sheet, and a plurality of movable cover portions connected to the central connection portion. The cover film is between the frame sheet and an outlet of the air flow passage. The movable cover portions selectively cover a plurality of through holes of the frame sheet. The vibrating part is fixed on the frame sheet. When the vibrating part vibrates, the central portion and the central connection portion move together with the vibrating part so that the movable cover portions seal the through holes or move relative to the through holes.

    Abstract: The disclosed method is suitable for producing a SiGe-on-insulator structure. According to some embodiments of the method, a layer comprising SiGe is deposited on silicon-on-insulator substrate comprising an ultra-thin silicon top layer. In some embodiments, the layer comprising SiGe is deposited by epitaxial deposition. In some embodiments, the SiGe epitaxial layer is high quality since it is produced by engineering the strain relaxation at the Si/buried oxide interface. In some embodiments, the method accomplishes elastic strain relaxation of SiGe grown on a few monolayer thick Si layer that is weakly bonded to the underline oxide.

    Abstract: A self-cleaning analyzer system for sensing a chemical characteristic of a fluid sample according to one embodiment includes a sensing chamber including a sample inlet configured to receive the fluid sample and a sample outlet; a sensor configured to sense the chemical characteristic of the fluid sample in the sensing chamber; a plurality of cleaning beads contained in the sensing chamber; and an agitator configured to stir the fluid sample in the sensing chamber. One or more of the plurality of cleaning beads contact the sensor when the agitator stirs the fluid sample. A method for sensing a chemical characteristic of a fluid sample using a self-cleaning analyzer system according to one embodiment includes providing the fluid sample to the sensing chamber; sensing the chemical characteristic of the fluid sample; and stirring the fluid sample causing one or more of the plurality of cleaning beads to contact the sensor.
