Abstract: A system for automatically generating patent analysis reports includes a plurality of client computers (10), an application server (12), and a local database (150). The application server includes a report template maintenance unit (121), a patent downloading unit (120), a patent analysis unit (122), a report generating unit (123), and a controlling unit (124). The local database stores downloaded patents and patent family data. A user sets patent downloading conditions and patent analysis conditions, and selects a patent analysis report template through a user interface (100) of any client computer. The patent downloading unit downloads patents from at least one remote database server (16) according to the patent downloading conditions. The patent analysis unit analyzes corresponding patents according to the patent analysis conditions. The report generating unit generates a patent analysis report according to the selected report template and the analysis results.

Abstract: A system for analyzing patent families includes client computers (10), an application server (12), and a local database (150). The client computers are connected to the application server via a network (11), and the application server is connected to the local database through database connectivity (13). The application server includes a patent downloading unit (120) and a patent family analyzing unit (122). A user sets patent family downloading conditions through a user interface (100) of any client computer. The patent-downloading unit automatically downloads corresponding patent family data from a patent family database (170), and returns the patent family data to the local database. Thereupon, the user sets patent family analysis conditions through the user interface. The patent family analyzing unit analyzes the patent family data stored in the local database according to the patent family analysis conditions. The analysis results are displayed for the user through the client computer.

Abstract: A system for analyzing patent indicators includes a local database (150), a plurality of client computers (10), and an application server (12). The local database stores a plurality of company names. The client computers each include an interactive user interface (100) enabling a user to select a set of company names and a patent indicator. The application server includes: a patent-downloading unit (120) for automatically downloading patents of companies in a selected company name set from at least one remote database (160) through a network (14), and for storing the patents in the local database; and a patent indicator analyzing unit (122) including a plurality of patent indicator computing devices (1220) for calculating values of patent indicators, each patent indicator computing device relating to a designated patent indicator and having at least one parameter related to the patent indicator set in advance.
