Abstract: Described is an automated transaction processing system and method, including at least one bank account record and associations between the record and at least a first account identifier and a second account identifier for the account, the system and method comprising a transaction processor, to process received transaction requests identifying the account on the basis of first criteria, if the transaction request identifies the account using the first identifier, or second, different criteria, if the transaction request identifies the account using the second identifier.
