Publication number: 20230072777Abstract: In the world of digital advertising, optimally allocating an advertisement campaign within a fixed pre-defined budget for an advertising duration aimed at maximizing number of conversions is very important for an advertiser. Embodiments of present disclosure provides a robust and easily generalizable method of optimal allocation of advertisement campaign by formulating it as a constrained Markov Decision Process (MDP) defined by agent state comprising user state and advertiser state, action space comprising a plurality of ad campaigns, state transition routine and a cumulative reward model which rewards maximum total conversions in an advertising duration. The cumulative reward model is trained in conjunction with a deep Q-network for solving the MDP to optimally allocate advertisement campaign for an advertising duration within a constrained budget.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2022Publication date: March 9, 2023Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: GARIMA GUPTA, LOVEKESH VIG, GAUTAM SHROFF, MANASI MALIK

Publication number: 20230072173Abstract: Existing techniques assume that all time varying covariates are confounding and thus attempts to balance a full state representation of a plurality of historical observants. The present disclosure processes a plurality of historical observants and treatment at a timestep t specific to each patient using an encoder network to a obtain a state representation st. A first set of disentangled representations comprising an outcome, a confounding and a treatment representation is learnt to predict an outcome t+1. The first set of disentangled representations are concatenated to obtain a unified representation and the decoder network is initialized using the unified representation to obtain a state representation st+1. A second set of disentangled representations is learnt and concatenated to predict outcome t+m+1 m+1 timesteps ahead of the timestep t and proceeding iteratively until m=??1.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 13, 2022Publication date: March 9, 2023Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: GARIMA GUPTA, LOVEKESH VIG, GAUTAM SHROFF

Publication number: 20230061247Abstract: This disclosure relates to method and system for improving Wi-Fi performance in co-existing communication networks using learning methodologies. In recent times, most of telecom operators have expressed interest in deploying LTE (Long-Term Evolution) over the unlicensed spectrum. However, simultaneous use of unlicensed band (by operators using LTE and other Wi-Fi) presents coexistence challenges in terms of network performance especially for the Wi-Fi. The disclosed techniques enable improving the Wi-Fi performance in the co-existing communication networks based on learning methodologies. The disclosed techniques improve Wi-Fi performance based on several steps that includes detecting an interfering channel, and further identifying an optimal channel to mitigate the interference caused by the detected interfering channel. The optimal channel is identified based on an optimization technique, wherein the optimization technique is a reinforcement learning technique based on a Q-learning.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2022Publication date: March 2, 2023Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: GARIMA MISHRA, NIKITA TRIVEDI, HEMANT KUMAR RATH, BIGHNARAJ PANIGRAHI, SHAMEEMRAJ NADAF

Patent number: 11580968Abstract: Techniques are described for a contextual natural language understanding (cNLU) framework that is able to incorporate contextual signals of variable history length to perform joint intent classification (IC) and slot labeling (SL) tasks. A user utterance provided by a user within a multi-turn chat dialog between the user and a conversational agent is received. The user utterance and contextual information associated with one or more previous turns of the multi-turn chat dialog is provided to a machine learning (ML) model. An intent classification and one or more slot labels for the user utterance are then obtained from the ML model. The cNLU framework described herein thus uses, in addition to a current utterance itself, various contextual signals as input to a model to generate IC and SL predictions for each utterance of a multi-turn chat dialog.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2019Date of Patent: February 14, 2023Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Arshit Gupta, Peng Zhang, Rashmi Gangadharaiah, Garima Lalwani, Roger Scott Jenke, Hassan Sawaf, Mona Diab, Katrin Kirchhoff, Adel A. Publication number: 20230037228Abstract: Fifth generation and beyond (5G+) systems are expected to adopt new network architectures, services, and deployment schemes for compatibility with the latest technologies and end user's needs. With increase in user equipment (UE), also come variety of advanced applications and use-cases, wherein each application type has its own KPI requirements. Existing resource allocation schemes in cellular networks are not able to handle such dynamic requirements due to which network slice can lead to unwanted mismanagement of resources. Present application provides systems and methods for application-aware dynamic slicing in radio access network (RAN), wherein RAN slicing is proactively managed by learning historical slice demands and consumptions. Once slices are created, the system allocates resources to user equipment by following optimal inter-slice and intra-slice mechanisms based on application type(s), traffic demand(s) and wireless characteristics of UE.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 16, 2022Publication date: February 2, 2023Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: Bighnaraj PANIGRAHI, Sumanta PATRO, Hemant Kumar RATH, Shameemraj NADAF, Garima MISHRA

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING SYNTHETIC MICROSTRUCTURE IMAGES OF MATERIAL WITH DESIRED FEATURES
Publication number: 20220343116Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to methods and systems for generating synthetic microstructure images of a material with desired features. Conventional techniques that make use of unsupervised deep generative models has no control on the generated microstructure images with specific, desired set of features. The present disclosure generates the synthetic microstructure images of the material with desired feature, by using a variational autoencoder defined with a style loss function. In the first step, the variational autoencoder is trained to learn latent representation of microstructure image of the material. In the second step, some of the dimensions of learned latent representation is interpreted as physically significant features. In the third and last step, the latent representation required for getting the desired features is appropriately sampled based on the interpretation to generate the synthetic microstructure images of the material with desired features.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 28, 2021Publication date: October 27, 2022Applicant: Tata Consultancy Services LimitedInventors: Avadhut Mohanrao SARDESHMUKH, Sreedhar Sannareddy REDDY, Purushottham Gautham BASAVARSU, Garima JAIN
