  • Publication number: 20230367626
Abstract: A method for assigning unique timestamps to transaction requests in a serverless architecture is provided. The method comprises receiving a plurality of transaction requests each having an initial timestamp; batching the initial transaction requests into initial batches using a batch processing module; distributing the initial batches to at least one timestamp assignment module using a load balancing module; and replacing the initial timestamp with a unique timestamp for each transaction request in each initial batch to generate an advanced batch according to an order in which the transaction requests are ordered in the initial batches using the timestamp assignment module, wherein the unique timestamp has an advanced precision of at least 1 nanosecond, the advanced precision of the unique timestamp being higher than an initial precision of the initial timestamp. A system having a serverless architecture for assigning unique timestamps is provided.

  • Publication number: 20220215419
Abstract: A system and method for refunding selected purchases from a considerable number of purchases made during a given accumulation period. The refunding is based on a specific time of the execution of the transaction during the given accumulation period. The refund process is further based on the acceptance of the refund by the user on a main user device during a notification period or, alternatively, in the absence of the approval of the refund from the main user device during the notification period, the acceptance of the refund on an alternative user device. In the absence of acceptance of the refund from the alternative user device after an other notification period, the refund is sent to a quarantine account for claiming by the user for a quarantine period after which the refund will be diffused for alternative uses.

  • Publication number: 20200210974
Abstract: A method for reducing load on servers during remote operations involving user accounts. When remote operations are made, the operation acts, alone and only by itself, as an action both performing a financial transaction and providing eligibility to the incentive reward program, and each financial transaction also acts as a contribution to the reward program, thereby reducing user accounts entries necessary in an operation server, and reducing database entries when transactions are performed which would contribute to an eligibility to a reward program. The method includes: creating a table of transaction data with a unique time stamp; selecting those most cotemporal to a given time and ending with a cut off transaction; and providing refunds to the corresponding user accounts. Server usage from a distinct reward program is avoided as there is no need for additional user accounts entries, transaction entries and eventual catalogue purchases through the program.

  • Publication number: 20170039565
Abstract: A method for transferring, exchanging and storing funds data between payment cards, merchant terminals and an operator database. The method includes: creating a table of transaction data with a unique time stamp for each transaction; calculating trust numbers for each transaction; summing all the trust numbers within a given accumulation period thereby defining a trust account amount; calculating a balance amount from the trust account amount; creating a table of sequenced transactions according to their respective unique time stamp; selecting a subset of the sequenced transactions from a first transaction being the most cotemporal to a given time and ending with a cut off transaction; creating a table of the subset of the sequenced transactions; respectively adding the corresponding numbers representative of the value of the transaction to the amount of funds associated to the payment cards which correspond to the transactions in the subset of the sequenced transactions.

  • Publication number: 20150302368
Abstract: There is described a method for providing a refund to an eligible purchasing account, in which monetary funds are held, for a purchase made at a purchase price at a specific time to which is associated a time stamp. The method comprises receiving a portion of the purchase price in a pool of funds defined as a trust; calculating a balance to be a difference between the trust and costs; and determining the refund to be transferred from the balance to the eligible purchasing account based on the time stamp, the refund fully covering the value of the purchase price available in the balance or, on given occasions, a multiple of the purchase price.
