  • Publication number: 20250134563
Abstract: A bone fixation plate comprises a main body formed of a first material and a support member formed of a second, different material and attached to the main body. The main body defines a first set of openings and the support member defines a second set of openings aligned with the first set of openings. For each opening of the first set of openings, a main body circumferential surface is disposed adjacent and continuous with a support member circumferential surface of the second set of openings to define an opening circumferential surface that bounds an opening of the first set of openings and an opening of the second set of openings.

  • Publication number: 20250040975
Abstract: Holders for bone screws, kits including a holder and one or more bone screw, and methods of loading a screw onto a driver for driving the screw into a bone are described. A holder for a bone screw includes a main body having a first surface and a second surface. The main body defines a retainer having first and second arms, each of which is a flap of the main body that is movable from a first configuration, in which the respective arm is coplanar with the adjacent portions of the main body, and a second configuration in which the respective arm extends away from the adjacent portions of the main body. The first and second arms are biased toward returning to the first configuration in which the respective arm is coplanar with adjacent portions of the main body.

  • Patent number: 12193717
Abstract: A bone plate includes a main body defining one or more openings and a cavity. A support member formed of a different material than the material of the main body is disposed in the cavity and defines one or more openings, each of which is coaxial with an opening of the main body. The support member extends into circumferential recesses defined by the main body. Circumferential projections bounding each main body opening are disposed between circumferential projections of the main body and are disposed entirely within the support member. Bone plate systems, methods of treatment, and methods of manufacturing are also described.

  • Publication number: 20220387181
Abstract: A prosthesis suited for orthopedic implantation possesses a multi-piece stem component that supports an artificial joint surface that can articulate with another artificial joint surface in various ways. The prosthesis can be assembled in a snap fit and/or interlocking fashion that provides positive locking means without the use of screws or other fasteners. The prosthesis can accommodate fitment of a plastic joint surface made, e.g., from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The prosthesis is well suited for use in an ankle replacement system that can be installed using minimally invasive intramedullary guidance established with respect to the major axis of the tibia by minimally invasive access through the calcaneus, through an incision in the bottom of the foot. The prosthesis makes possible the installation of a total ankle system using minimally invasive anterior access to the ankle joint for making bony cuts and to install prosthesis components.
