Publication number: 20250091673Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method includes collecting data from at least one component of a micromobility vehicle. The method includes analyzing the data to determine whether a condition of the micromobility vehicle corresponds to an unsafe condition. The method includes determining, based on analysis, that the condition of the micromobility vehicle corresponds to the unsafe condition. The method includes activating an immobilization lock on the micromobility vehicle to immobilize a wheel of the micromobility vehicle responsive to determining that the condition of the micromobility vehicle corresponds to the unsafe condition.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2024Publication date: March 20, 2025Inventors: Erik Keith Askin, Jeffrey Alan Boyd, Alex Dixon, Garrett Korda Drayna, Merric-Andrew Jaranowski French, Daniel Lami Goldstein, Rochus Emanuel Jacob, Jared Mitchell Kole, Chen-Yu Lin, Oliver Maximilian Mueller, James Jeng-Yeu Peng, Andrew Michael Reimer, Neil Richard Anthony Saldanha, Gary Shambat, Jennifer Uang

Publication number: 20250025020Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods that include a keypad that detects button presses using deflection sensing. The keypad may be a keypad of a camera such as an endoscopic camera head. A button press may be detected based on an amount of deflection of a material. The deflection of the material may be caused by force from a user's finger on a button of the keypad. The material may be located proximate to a sensor, which outputs a sensor signal indicating the amount of deflection of the material. Aspects of the disclosure comprise a controller that identifies an amount of deflection, compares the amount of deflection to a signal threshold, and determines whether a button has been pressed based on the comparison.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 18, 2024Publication date: January 23, 2025Applicant: Stryker CorporationInventors: Levey Trac TRAN, West Garrett MITCHELL, Benjamin Hyman FEINGOLD, Eric Charles HUYNH

Patent number: 10967363Abstract: Metal-support interaction offers electronic, geometrical and compositional effects to tune and maneuver catalytically active sites. Here we report the first example of a reactive metal support interaction (RMSI) between Pt and various MXenes, which are two-dimensional (2D) metal carbides, nitrides, or carbonitrides. The invention thus provides intermetallic Pt/MXene nanoparticle catalysts comprising platinum and MXene moieties. Pt3Ti and Pt3Nb intermetallic nanoparticle catalysts were prepared by RMSI of Pt nanoparticles supported on Ti3C2 and Nb2C MXenes. The intermetallic structures were verified by XAS, ARSTEM, and XPS. Experimental analysis showed that the extent of alloy formation is temperature dependent. Kinetics analysis revealed that in contrast to Pt/Al2O3, Pt supported by Nb2CTx exhibits weaker CO adsorption and the alloy-MXene interface shows enhanced ability of H2O dissociation for a water gas shift (WGS) reaction at 300° C.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 2018Date of Patent: April 6, 2021Assignees: Iowa State University Research Foundation, Inc., Purdue Research FoundationInventors: Zhe Li, Yue Wu, Jeffrey T. Patent number: 10184497Abstract: An electro-hydraulic actuator is operable in any orientation without changing components. The electro-hydraulic actuator includes a reservoir for containing a hydraulic fluid, a bladder within the reservoir for containing a compressible gas, a pump fluidly connected to the reservoir with one or more inlet/outlet ports, and an electric motor drivingly coupled to the pump. The bladder has an inlet/outlet port configured to communicate with a gas source external to the reservoir for adjusting the amount of compressible gas within the bladder. The bladder may also be configured within the reservoir in a manner that prevents the bladder from obstructing fluid flow to the pump inlet/outlet, and that can also prevent fluid from becoming trapped by the bladder and therefore inaccessible to the pump.Type: GrantFiled: June 27, 2016Date of Patent: January 22, 2019Assignee: Parker-Hannifin CorporationInventor: Garrett Mitchell Maurer

Patent number: 9556888Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder has a main body portion with a piston bore extending in a longitudinal direction of the main body portion from a first end to a second end of the main body portion. A first cylinder mounting bracket extends in the longitudinal direction and has at least one aperture disposed along the length of the bracket for locating and securing the hydraulic cylinder to a structure. A manifold mounting portion extends in the longitudinal direction of the main body portion and has a first fluid passageway extending in the longitudinal direction from the first end to the second end. Thus, a manifold can be mounted to the manifold mounting portion at one of a plurality of different positions and/or orientations along the length of the hydraulic cylinder while allowing fluid communication between a fluid port of the manifold and the fluid passageway of the manifold mounting portion.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2013Date of Patent: January 31, 2017Assignee: Parker-Hannifin CorporationInventors: Garrett Mitchell Maurer, James Richard Prazak
