Patent number: 11902463Abstract: A system may include a processor that may execute computer-executable instructions that cause the processor to receive caller information regarding an incoming communication from a caller and receive a request from a user to route the incoming communication to a virtual assistant application. The virtual assistant application is configured to interact with the caller and determine whether the caller is associated a fraudulent caller activity stored on databases accessible by the processor. The processor may then receive an indication from the virtual assistant application that the caller is associated with the fraudulent caller activity and forward the incoming communication to another party in response to receiving the indication.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2022Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Andre Rene Buentello, Mark Anthony Lopez, Gregory Brian Meyer, Ashley Raine Philbrick, Garrett Rielly Rapport, Jose L. Romero, Jr., Michael Jay Szentes

Patent number: 11869073Abstract: The technology described includes an adaptive probability matrix that creates a notification schedule. The schedule can be used to send reminders to users to press a physical, connected device/button, that when pressed or clicked, causes money to be transferred according to a set of rules (i.e., a “one-click” transfer of funds).Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2021Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Sang Woo Choi, Timothy Davison, Garrett Rielly Rapport

Patent number: 11816747Abstract: Systems and methods for detecting use of a property are provided. A first set of property identifying data for a first property is received from a first source. The first source indicates a use of the first property but does not publicly provide an address of the first property prior to initiation of a request for use of the first property. A second set of property identifying data for a second property from a second source is also received. The second source provides a property address of the second property. The first set of data are compared to the second set of data, to determine an amount of overlap. When the amount of overlap meets a pre-defined threshold amount, the first property and the second property are identified as a common property and a notice is provided of the property address and the use of the common property.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2019Date of Patent: November 14, 2023Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Andre Rene Buentello, Mark Anthony Lopez, Gregory Brian Meyer, Ashley Raine Philbrick, Garrett Rielly Rapport, Jose L. Romero, Jr., Michael Jay Szentes

Patent number: 11477622Abstract: The present disclosure relates to monitoring sound in and around a vehicle to predict unsafe driving events, and using the sound information to detect and reduce unsafe driving conditions. A computing device receives information indicative of a sound in or near a vehicle. The sound information may be received via the vehicle itself or via a device. The computing device then determines whether there is an indication of an unwanted driving event. The computing device also receives vehicle operation data extracted from one or more vehicle sensors. The computing device then determines whether there is an indication of unsafe driving conditions, and if there is, the computing device may output a notice or alert via a notification system to alert the driver or, in certain embodiments, other parties via social media, text message, chat programs, and the like.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 2021Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Andre Rene Buentello, Mark Anthony Lopez, Gregory Brian Meyer, Ashley Raine Philbrick, Garrett Rielly Rapport, Jose L. Patent number: 11446949Abstract: Embodiments are described herein for a teller check that includes enhanced security features. In response to a request from a user, a teller check image is generated using a check template and that includes check information in fields of the check template. The teller check also includes a unique visible pattern or unique visible picture in the image that serves as an enhanced security feature. A captured image or received image of the teller check is able to be verified based on data extracted from the unique visible pattern or unique visible picture.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2019Date of Patent: September 20, 2022Assignee: United Services Automobile Association (USAA)Inventors: Andre Rene Buentello, Mark Anthony Lopez, Gregory Brian Meyer, Ashley Raine Philbrick, Garrett Rielly Rapport, Jose L.
