Abstract: An automated ultraviolet (UV) light hand sanitizing system. The automated hand sanitization system includes a housing for attachment to the wall or other suitable structure, a UV sterilization system on an angled underside of the housing, a motion sensing system to detect the user's hands and to begin the UV sterilization process, a timer system to track the time during the UV sterilization process, and a photovoltaic energy system to power the system.
