  • Patent number: 10237967
Abstract: Among other things, an electronics assembly within an imaging system is provided. The electronics assembly includes a circuit board assembly through which a signal is delivered. The circuit board assembly defines a heat transfer opening between a first side and a second side. An electronics component is electrically coupled to the first side of the circuit board assembly. A heat transfer component supports the electronics component. The heat transfer component includes a base portion coupled to the electronics component and to the circuit board assembly. The heat transfer component includes a heat dissipation portion extending through the heat transfer opening of the circuit board assembly. The heat dissipation portion dissipates heat generated by the electronics component.

  • Patent number: 9891356
Abstract: A device includes spectral purity filters (SPF) and structures for supporting SPF films. The device further includes a monolithic support having a mesh portion and a frame portion and a film overlaying at least a portion of the support. In some cases, the film can be affixed to the support without an adhesive. The monolithic support can be Silicon, stainless steel or some other suitable material and the film can be a single layer spectral purity filter film or a multilayer spectral purity filter film. The mesh portion of the support can include a plurality of through-holes that are formed by etching and/or eroding a thinned material such as silicon or stainless steel.

  • Publication number: 20140156561
Abstract: A method for allowing security personnel in screening stations to more quickly identify prohibited articles and to identify and interrogate the screened individual responsible for the prohibited article, thereby improving throughput and reducing human error. If an operator observes articles which raise a security concern, the operator isolates the location of such articles by referencing the compartment in the tray where it is located and optionally whether the article is in a high or low position in the compartment and by referencing a tray's unique identifier. A security tray design is provided to carry out the method which includes discrete delineated compartments, and optionally a unique identifier and an area for displaying the screened individual's identification to connect the individual to a unique tray, to assist in preventing individuals from gaining access to restricted areas with prohibited articles.

  • Publication number: 20050257344
Abstract: A hinge assembly for a foldable working platform, said hinge assembly comprising a hinge body (22), first and second hinge arms (24,26) connected to the hinge body (22), the first hinge arm being rotatable relative to the hinge body about a first axis of rotation (28), the second hinge arm being rotatable relative to the hinge body about a second axis of rotation (30), wherein the first and second axes (28,30) are non-coaxial and wherein movement of the hinge arms beyond the open position is restricted by interaction of abutment portions of the first and second hinge arms with respective abutment portions of the hinge body.

  • Patent number: 5656169
Abstract: A biological degradation process is disclosed. The biological gradation process utilizes a unique thermophilic aerobic bacterial mixture capable of converting, biologically or via oxidation, aqueous and other liquid streams containing substances that are ordinarily considered toxic to conventional biological systems. Substances ordinarily considered toxic to conventional biological systems, but which nevertheless are converted by the thermophilic aerobic bacterial mixture, include aniline; benzothiazole; 5,6-dihydro-2-methyl-N-phenyl-1,4-oxathiin-3-carboxamide; lindane (technically known as 1.alpha.,2.alpha.,3.beta.,4.alpha.,5.alpha.,6.beta.-hexachlorocyclohexane) ; 2-mercaptobenzothiazole; toluene; and combinations thereof. The unique thermophilic aerobic bacterial mixture comprises relative effective amounts of Pseudomonas stutzeri, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas fluorescens, Pseudomonas mendocina and Alcaligenes denitrificans subsp. xylosoxydans.
