  • Publication number: 20190221078
Abstract: A live or virtual method executes a competitive event with playing card symbols with fifty-two random playing cards. The method provides two random playing cards face-up to a player position and to a dealer position. Without a blackjack, the player position hand and dealer hand optionally receive additional random playing cards. Winning of the competitive event includes: i) a player hand count point total using at least 5-cards and a total count of between 17-21 points receives a marker at the player position indicating that the player position hand does not lose against any dealer hand count point total except for an initial dealer position 2-card point total of twenty-one.

  • Patent number: 10121327
Abstract: A hand wager and at least one partial hand wager are received. A player hand is dealt. As the player hand is dealt, the partial hand wager(s) may be resolved based on the partial player hands formed from a subset of the player hand. Specifically, partial player hands are compared to a pay table and a payout, if any, associated with the partial player hand is issued. The hand wager is resolved by comparing the player hand to the pay table. The player hand may be formed using replacement playing cards, community playing cards, or may be formed in any other way, depending on the optional embodiment. In an optional embodiment, a deck may be randomly selected from multiple decks prior to dealing a player hand. If the selected deck is a bonus deck, the pay table may be replaced with a bonus pay table.

  • Publication number: 20170080327
Abstract: A method and device for conducting blackjack-type games includes receiving a base wager and dealing at least one initial player hand and an initial dealer hand. A final player hand is formed from each initial player hand. Optionally, if the initial player hand matches a discard criterion, a designated card may be burned from the initial player hand and replaced with a newly dealt card. If a final player hand matches a predefined modified player winning hand, the base wager is rewarded using a predefined pay table either with or without first comparing the final player hand to a final dealer hand. A final dealer hand is formed. If the final dealer hand is a predefined modified dealer bust hand, the base wager is paid less than even money, which may include simply returning the wager. The base wager may otherwise be resolved in a manner consistent with conventional blackjack.

  • Publication number: 20030162577
Abstract: A player, playing “player's hand only” format video poker machine deposits money into the machine as a wager to cause the machine to deal and display a video image of two five card stud poker hands from a standard deck of fifty-two cards, face up. The player may win on one or both hands per a pre-established poker hand ranking paytable, the amount won based the hand ranking and the amount wagered. If, however, the player has a threshold hand, be it only a pair in either or both hands, and nothing else, (as determined by the variation of the game played), then, the player is allowed to and does play all ten cards on the screen as a single, Super Stud hand, winning any of the pre-established poker hand rankings in the Super Stud paytable. In this game, the pair is the threshold hand. In other variations, it could be only some but not all pairs, and/or hands wherein there were no winners or pairs at all (losing hands).
