Patent number: 11181237Abstract: A cryogenic gas manifold for use in a cryogenic gas system includes first and second interchangeable tubular headers. Each of the tubular headers has a nipple for receiving cryogenic gas from a source or for providing such cryogenic gas to a user. Each of the tubular headers has opposed branch nipples for threadedly receiving devices that interconnect at least certain of the branch nipples of the pair of tubular headers. This interconnection is by threaded engagement of at least certain devices such as regulators, valves, gauges, sensors, bypass valves, low-temperature shutoff valves, and the like. The interconnection of these various devices with the pair of headers establishes a structural integrity for the manifold. Feet may be clamped to the bottom of each of the headers to allow the manifold to be freestanding. The threaded engagement of all of the various elements makes the manifold cost-effective.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2018Date of Patent: November 23, 2021Inventor: Garry Lee Sears

Patent number: 10865570Abstract: An acoustic panel wall mounting system including a rigid fastening plate and a panel anchor. The rigid fastening plate carries a field of first touch fastening features and defines an aperture for receiving a mechanical fastener to secure the fastening plate against a wall with the field of first touch fastening features exposed. The panel anchor has a helix extending from a rigid surface flange that carries a field of second touch fastening features on a surface opposite the helix. The anchor defines a tool receptacle used for twisting the helix into a panel. The field of first touch fastening features is engageable with the field of second touch fastening features to form a connection when brought into engagement as the panel is placed against the wall to contact the fastening plate with the panel anchor.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2019Date of Patent: December 15, 2020Assignee: Velcro BVBAInventors: Fabio Billa Longo, Daniel Alejandro Moreno Serrano, Garry Lee Herrington, Antoli Fauria Torrent

Patent number: 7441594Abstract: A full bore support system for a hanger or other equipment in a wellhead features a support groove in the wellhead that can be integrally made or on an insert. A support ring can have a variety of configuration and features an energizing surface and a limit surface that ultimately share the load. The receiving groove is configured to guide the support ring as it expands to minimize bending and distortion. The support ring is recessed and protected until it is actuated outwardly into a supporting position. A high strength low modulus material is preferred to withstand the radial expansion and the applied loads and environmental conditions. Various shapes for the ring are contemplated including a C-ring and a ring made from segments movable with respect to each other.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2004Date of Patent: October 28, 2008Assignee: Cameron International CorporationInventors: Delbert E. Patent number: 7146637Abstract: A method, computer program product, and data processing system, with which a unified security policy may be implemented using existing application components with disparate security mechanisms and user registries is disclosed. The present invention provides a generic application programming interface (API) that forms a framework for creating registry adapters. Registry adapters allow a policy director (an item of software for imposing a sitewide security policy) to operate with new or unfamiliar registry types by acting as a drop-in translator for converting generic registry-access commands into operations specific to the particular registry in question.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2001Date of Patent: December 5, 2006Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Michael Bradford Ault, Garry Lee Child, Larry George Fichtner, Dah-Haur Lin

Patent number: 6801946Abstract: A global sign-on mechanism (GSO) is implemented. The mechanism provides a GSO system and method for a networked data processing system within an open architecture framework. The system and method are constructed on a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) framework by defining a set of data structures, the GSO LDAP schema. GSO functionality is effected using protocol operations on the LDAP object and attribute instances as defined in accordance with the GSO schema.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 2000Date of Patent: October 5, 2004Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Garry Lee Child, Dah-Haur Lin, Larry Fichtner

Patent number: 6556995Abstract: A method in a data processing system for managing multiple identities for a single user. In a preferred embodiment, a request for content from a database is received at a server. Responsive to a determination that retrieval of the content from the database requires providing the database with user information, the user's database identity is retrieved from a library of database identities. The retrieved user identity information is then inserted into the request and the request is forwarded to the database.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 1999Date of Patent: April 29, 2003Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Garry Lee Child, Janani Janakiraman
