Abstract: A camera unit is configured to be mounted adjacent a dartboard. The camera unit comprises a primary camera and a secondary camera supported by a support frame. The primary camera captures a darts player using the dartboard and the secondary camera captures a play surface of the dartboard. The camera unit further comprises a wireless interface module arranged to wirelessly transmit image data captured by the cameras, and/or derived data, such as a determination that a dart has been thrown, a determination that a foul throw has occurred, or a score associated with a dart that has struck the dartboard.

Abstract: There is provided a dart shaft comprising: a first shaft portion formed of metal, the first shaft portion having a first end for connection to a dart barrel and a second end comprising a first threaded portion; and a second shaft portion, the second shaft portion having a first end for connection to a flight and a second end comprising a second threaded portion; wherein the first threaded portion is externally threaded and the second threaded portion is internally threaded, and wherein the first and second threaded portions are configured to engage with each other to releasably connect the first shaft portion and the second shaft portion together.

Abstract: A modular darts system comprises a hub having a dartboard surface or a connector for weight-bearing connection to a dartboard, the hub further comprising a plurality of apertures, and a plurality of arms, the arms being configured to engage the plurality of apertures and to engage at least one ancillary dartboard component.
