  • Publication number: 20050053413
Abstract: A shock resistant applicator for non-evaporative liquid comprises an elongated tubular housing sealed on one end enclosing a first liquid near the sealed end separated from a second liquid by a viscous substance. The elongated tubular housing has an opening means near the sealed end to release the enclosed liquids through the open end of the elongated tubular housing. A shock resistant plug is disposed near the open end of the elongated tubular housing and defines a small through hole from the liquid to the open end of the elongated tubular housing. The shock resistant plug will prevent the none-evaporative second liquid from being unintentionally released from the elongated tubular housing by dramatically increasing the surface tension of the second liquid near the open end of the elongated tubular housing.

  • Publication number: 20050040164
Abstract: A connector means to hold the two sections of a container together after opening yet still allows entry of atmospheric air into the container is disclosed. The preferred embodiment of the connector means comprises of a small short section of flexible material that is inserted into the container and positioned at the opening means of the container. The connector means has multiple channels in its longitudinal direction around its circumference to allow entry of air into the container once it is opened. The connector will retain the two sections of the container together after opening yet allows entry of air into the container. In another embodiment of the connector means the container is inserted into a short cylindrical section of flexible material with the connector means positioned at the opening means wherein said connector means has multiple elongated openings around its circumference to allow entry of air into the container once it is opened.

  • Publication number: 20050029138
Abstract: A swab packaging with separated liquid and dry compound that allows separate storage of predetermined quantities of dry compound and liquid in the same packaging with the applicator is disclosed. The swab packaging with separated liquid and dry compound comprises of a swab applicator comprising an elongated tubular housing with a liquid enclosed within the hollow interior of the elongated tubular housing with an opening means to release the liquid to an applicator tip affixed to one end of the elongated tubular housing wherein the swab applicator is sealed in a package with the dry compound sealed in or around the applicator tip. When the liquid is released into the applicator tip through the opening means, the liquid in the moisturized applicator tip will interact with the dry compound for application. The packaging is then removed to use the swab applicator. This separation of the dry compound and liquid will greatly prolong the shelf life of the contents.

  • Publication number: 20050028926
Abstract: A method for sealing the ends of plastic tubes is disclosed. The sealing method provides a means to relieve the air pressure due to the heated air within a plastic tube thereby allowing the plastic tube to be reliably sealed with a heated surface. An air escape opening is provided near the end of the plastic tube. When the end of the plastic tube is heated, the air within the plastic tube will escape through the air escape opening to relieve the pressure within the plastic tube and maintains a constant atmospheric pressure as the heated surface softens and melts the plastic at the end of the plastic tube. As the air escape opening is sealed, the sealing of the open end of the plastic tube is also completed. As the heat source is removed, the air pressure within the sealed plastic tube will not have sufficient force to rupture the sealed end thereby the plastic tube is sealed reliably.

  • Publication number: 20050017503
Abstract: The connector with frangible seal comprises of a tubular cylinder separated into two sections by a frangible seal. A first section has an inside diameter that will receive a first tubular member with an outside diameter approximately that of the inside diameter of a second tubular member received in the second section of the connector with frangible seal. When the two tubular members are urged toward each other the frangible seal separating the two tubular members will be fractured and the first tubular member will be inserted into the second tubular member and form a through path for fluids to move through them.

  • Patent number: 6789971
Abstract: The multi-channel container comprises of a multi-channel single-tube sealed container and applicator that defines multiple channels within its body that may contain different substances in each channel and that is sealed on both ends. A score is formed at a predetermined distance from each sealed end of the multi-channel single-tube sealed container and applicator such that when the multi-channel single-tube sealed container and applicator is bent it will break open at the score discharging the substances in the channels. The multi-channel container is a multi-channel single-tube sealed container and applicator that is easy to package, convenient, easy to use, easy to transport, sanitary, economical, and self-contained. The multi-channel container is not only a container but can also be used as the applicator.
