    Abstract: A gaseous detector comprising a pressurized vessel full of a ionizable gas having a pressure of 10 bar, a large number of electrodes contained in the pressurized vessel, an electric supply connected to the electrodes to create an electric field in the vessel, and an electronic front end circuitry having several separate inputs connected individually respectively to said electrodes, for receiving signals generated by said electrodes when detecting ionizing rays.
