Abstract: A closed-back athletic glove capable of receiving a human hand is provided. The glove comprises an exterior glove having a wrist back portion corresponding approximately to the area where the back of the user's hand meets the user's wrist. A wrist strap is connected to the interior surface of the exterior glove shell at a first attachment point. The wrist strap runs from the first attachment point along a portion of the interior surface of the wrist back portion to a second attachment point. An adjustment pad is connected to the wrist strap such that when the glove is worn by the user, the adjustment pad is between the wrist strap and the user's hand and such that when the wrist strap is tightened, the wrist strap exerts a force on the adjustment pad that tightens the adjustment pad against the user's hand.

Abstract: A glove may comprise at least one laminated padded portions affixed to at least one other portion. A laminated padded portion may comprise an inner layer, an outer layer, and at least one pad. The at least one pad may be secured by laminating the outer layer to the inner layer with the at least one pad retained between the inner layer and the outer layer without stitching. The at least one pad may be positioned to protectively cover portions of the wearer's hand.

Abstract: A breathable athletic glove that provides two-way airflow between the inside and outside of the glove without compromising protection, durability and good range of motion is provided. The glove comprises a palm-side portion and a back portion connected to form four finger sheaths, a thumb sheath, and an opening capable of receiving a human hand. The back portion comprises a breathable and elastic first back piece, a strengthening overlay covering a first plurality of portions of the breathable and elastic back piece, and may or may not comprise a second back piece connected to the breathable and elastic first back piece.
