  • Patent number: 11661159
Abstract: A buoyancy tank for a portable floatation apparatus which allows for the elevation of a watercraft above a water-line and which allows for the removal of the watercraft from a body of water. The buoyancy tank has at least one and/or a plurality of integrated cylindrical structures which supports the floatation apparatus in transport and storage. The integrated cylindrical structures provide sufficient support to allow the removal of the floatation apparatus by use of a boat lift and further provide sufficient support to allow a watercraft to be stacked on top of the floating apparatus while the floating apparatus is stacked on top of the floating apparatus for the purposes of storage. A plurality of said buoyancy tanks may be connected to the portable floatation apparatus by use of connecting means.

  • Publication number: 20090065157
Abstract: A connection device 10 is provided which securely attaches to a hard plastic or glass pane 101. The connection device 10 comprises a connection member 11 having a double-sided adhesive tape 35 and having one adhesive side 37 attached to a first surface 50 of the connection device 10, and a second adhesive side 37 attached to an edge 107 of a glass or plastic pane 101. A soft fabric material 102 is further attached to the connection device 10 to create a frame portion 104 which encapsulates the connection device 10. A method 299 is also provided for forming a panel assembly 100.

  • Patent number: 7042744
Abstract: Hermetically sealed high-voltage assemblies are made up of series-connected diodes. Exposed tabs bonding adjacent diodes allow for greater thermal dissipation than previous products. This allows higher current-carrying capacity especially if used in oil.

  • Publication number: 20050259242
Abstract: The invention provides automated systems and methods for measuring ORL of fibers under test. A computer-based test instrument using OTDR tests fibers with the help of a STFM having predefined characteristics that are recorded in a machine-readable memory. The information recorded in the memory is accessible to the computer-based instrument and is used to calibrate a power level of an illumination source in real time using the reflectance response of the STFM. The calibrated illumination power allows the instrument to automatically determine the ORL of the fiber being tested with precision, and without requiring the intervention of an operator. The instrument also has the capability to automatically sense the presence of a test fiber, and to automatically attenuate the reflectance signal to remove a saturation condition by controlling at least one of the illumination, the detector gain, an amplifier gain, and an optional in-line optical attenuator.

  • Patent number: 6422167
Abstract: A portable floatation assembly 10 which selectively elevates a watercraft 20 above a water line. The portable floatation assembly 10 includes a plurality of generally hollow body portions 12 having a plurality of boat reception grooves 32 and a plurality of apertures 30 which selectively couples to a plurality of apertures 26 disposed along the periphery of generally flat base members 14 which contain a central aperture 22. Each generally hollow body member 12 and a unique one of the base members 14 cooperates to form a generally hollow cavity 60 within the cooperatively formed floatation devices 44. Portable floatation assembly 10 further includes a plurality of conduits 16 which are coupled to both a pump 18 and the floatation devices 44 through central aperture 22, effective to displace a volume of air within cavity 60 of floatation devices 44, which is effective to selectively and conveniently elevate a watercraft 20 above a water line.
