  • Patent number: 6899442
Abstract: A surgical theater apparatus for suspending from a ceiling structural member of a hospital includes a central hub mountable to the ceiling structural member to rotate about a rotation axis. The hub has a pivot axis spaced apart from the rotation axis. First and second devices, such as surgical lights, a cameras, and monitors, are mounted to a first end of a first device arm and a first end of a second device arm, respectively. A second end of the first device arm is mounted to the hub for movement about the rotation axis and about the pivot axis. A second end of the second device arm is mounted to the hub for movement about the rotation axis. The pivot axis and the rotation axis are parallel.

  • Patent number: 6639623
Abstract: A surgical light apparatus includes a hub assembly configured to be attached to a ceiling, and an arm coupled for pivotal movement about the hub assembly. In certain embodiments, a monitor is mounted on a monitor mount attached to the arm. The monitor mount includes a handle on which a first actuator is mounted. A video input controller is electrically coupled to the monitor. The video input controller includes a first channel input having a video coupling for attachment to a first video input device providing a first video feed, a second channel input having a video coupling for attachment to a second video device providing a second video feed, and a channel controller coupled to the monitor, the first channel input, and the second channel input. The channel controller is coupled to the first actuator and is configured to select a video feed to the monitor in response to actuation of the first actuator. In certain embodiments, a camera mount is mounted to the arm.

  • Patent number: 5364332
Abstract: An improved folder includes a "soft stop" reversible roll nip. Folding is accomplished by feeding a copy sheet into a stepper/servo controlled pinch roll that is under software control. The copy sheet is measured and the reversible roll nip is cycled from full forward to full reverse velocity with controlled acceleration. The reversing of the sheet causes a buckle to be created and the sheet creased by a secondary set of rolls.

  • Patent number: 5317545
Abstract: Telephone use control apparatus in which a microcontroller controls the functions of the apparatus and in which the apparatus is provided with batteries to maintain power to the microcontroller and circuitry associated therewith when the the telephone is in operation, and means for providing power from the incoming telephone line to run the apparatus when the telephone is not in use. The incoming power from the telephone line is also usable to recharge the batteries. In addition, the case for the apparatus is made to mount the electrical components without the use of screws, and to permit the assembly of the various parts of the case, also without screws.

  • Patent number: 4478509
Abstract: An electrostatographic type copying or reproduction machine incorporating a programmable controller to operate the various machine components in an integrated manner to produce copies. The controller carries a master program bearing machine operating parameters from which an operating program for the specific copy run desired is formed and used to operate the machine components to produce the copies programmed. A multiple prioritized interrupt system is employed to distribute the operating program to the machine.

  • Patent number: 4133477
Abstract: A xerographic type copying or reproduction machine incorporating a programmable controller to operate the various machine components in an integrated manner to produce copies is disclosed. The controller carries a master program bearing machine operating parameters from which an operating program for the specific copy run desired is formed and used to operate the machine components to produce the copies programmed. A fault flag array is routinely scanned, each flag comprising the array being associated with an operating component or area of such machine such that on a fault or malfunction thereof, the fault flag corresponding thereto is set. On detection of a fault flag, a machine fault is declared. Display means are provided to visually identify the fault location. A permanent record of certain faults and machine operations are stored in memory for future use.
