    Abstract: This invention relates to a solenoid valve primarily intended for association with agricultural equipment and provides a balanced valve for controlling the spraying of fluids wherein the armature is separated from the fluid and which requires minimum electrical power for actuation because of a balanced seat design so that the force acting on the valve stem due to fluid pressure is zero. Consequently, only a relatively small external force is required to move the stem and a small coil can be utilized to operate the valve.
