One embodiment includes a carrier supporting the orifice plate and a drive member operable to engage the carrier and move the carrier along a first axis perpendicular to the flowbore. The drive member is also operable to limit the movement of the carrier along a second axis perpendicular to the flowbore and perpendicular to the first axis. A pin is operable to engage the carrier so as to limit movement along the first axis.

In some embodiments, the orifice fitting includes a housing having a chamber therein, a flow path extending through the chamber, an orifice plate moveable between a first position in the flow path and a second position outside of the flow path, and a rotatable shaft extending through the housing into the chamber. The shaft has a flowbore extending between a first fluid inlet in fluid communication with the chamber and a fluid outlet formed adjacent the end of the shaft.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for operating a dual chamber orifice fitting. The dual chamber orifice fitting comprises a body having a lower chamber and a top having an upper chamber. An aperture connects the upper chamber to the lower chamber. A closure member is pivotally mounted to the fitting and pivots about a first axis between a first position and a second position. A pivot arm is rotatably mounted to the body and engages the closure member so that rotation of the pivot arm about a second axis pivots said closure member about the first axis between the first and second positions.

In an embodiment, the orifice plate assembly includes a first ring member, a second ring member, an orifice plate disposed between the first and second ring members, a first seal assembly disposed between the first ring member and the orifice plate, and a second seal assembly disposed between the second ring member and the orifice plate. The first ring member includes a first plurality of arms having latching portions, and the second ring member includes a second plurality of arms having latching portions. Both ring members include latch-receiving recesses. The latching portions of the arms of the first ring member engage the latch-receiving recesses of the second ring member, while the latching portion of the arms of the second ring member engage the latch-receiving recesses in the first ring member.

A sealing assembly comprises a closure member that is rotatably moveable between an open and closed position relative to the aperture. A secondary seal is disposed within a recessed portion on a sealing face of the closure member. The recessed portion has a perimeter defined by a shoulder A primary seal is disposed within a groove formed between the shoulder and the secondary seal.

Abstract: The present invention comprises an improved ultrasonic transducer mount including a transducer holder sleeve, a base attachment sleeve, and a removable mount cover attachment ring. The transducer holder sleeve has an outer surface that engages an extractor tool for removal of the transducer and transducer holder from the mount. The base attachment sleeve has an outer surface that engages a housing for attachment of the transducer mount.
