  • Publication number: 20230074275
Abstract: Systems and methods for asynchronous late-fusion of measurements. State information and intermediate values may be calculated as measurements arrive and are stored. When late sensor measurements arrive out of the temporal order in which the measurements were generated, the late measurements are stored in temporal order rather than the order in which measurements arrive. State information is then recalculated to account for the late-arriving sensor measurement, with state outputs propagated forward in temporal order using the previously computed intermediate values to speed up computation. In this manner, more accurate revised state information is efficiently generated, accounting for any late-arriving measurements. This modular processing framework also enables sensors to be added or changed, which may cause measurements to arrive asynchronously, without having to reprogram the processing framework.

  • Publication number: 20230075574
Abstract: Systems and methods for tracking the location of a non-destructive inspection (NDI) scanner using scan data converted into images of a target object. Scan images are formed by aggregating successive scan strips acquired using one or two one-dimensional sensor arrays. An image processor computes a change in location of the NDI scanner relative to a previous location based on the respective positions of common features in partially overlapping scan images. The performance of the NDI scanner tracking system is enhanced by: (1) using depth and intensity filtering of the scan image data to differentiate features for improved landmark identification during real-time motion control; and (2) applying a loop-closure technique using scan image data to correct for drift in computed location. The enhancements are used to improve localization, which enables better motion control and coordinate accuracy for NDI scan data.

  • Publication number: 20230073331
Abstract: The present invention includes systems and methods for a multi-primary color system for display. A multi-primary color system increases the number of primary colors available in a color system and color system equipment. Increasing the number of primary colors reduces metameric errors from viewer to viewer. One embodiment of the multi-primary color system includes Red, Green, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, and Magenta primaries. The systems of the present invention maintain compatibility with existing color systems and equipment and provide systems for backwards compatibility with older color systems.

  • Publication number: 20230074517
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing breath training. In illustrative embodiments, an operator creates a pressure, either positive or negative, in the lungs. This pressure is transferred through a mask assembly to a breathwork apparatus, which utilizes pistons moving within cylinder volumes to provide numerical feedback to an operator regarding the operator's breathing. Through breath control exercises, the operator of a breathwork apparatus can develop deeper and slower breathing habits which are more efficient. One embodiment provides a breathwork apparatus comprising an exhalation side; a transfer case; an inhalation side; and, a mask assembly, wherein the exhalation side and inhalation side are joined by transfer case which comprises a plurality of channels, such that at least a first channel of a plurality of channels terminates in an exhalation rate meter, and at least a second channel of the plurality of channels terminates in an inhalation rate meter.

  • Publication number: 20230071617
Abstract: The present disclosure describes autonomous flight safety systems (AFSSs) that incorporate an autonomous flight termination unit (AFTU) enabling AFSS monitoring for various termination conditions that are used to activate a flight termination system (e.g., in the event a termination condition is detected). Such termination conditions include boundary limit detection (e.g., whether a vehicle position is outside or projected outside a planned flight envelope), as well as body instability detection (e.g., whether a pitch rate and yaw rate exceed some threshold indicative of vehicle instability). For instance, an AFTU may incorporate a three-axis gyroscope sensor and may implement instability detection processing based on information obtained via the sensor.
