  • Patent number: 11968669
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for database scheduling. Scheduling entries are created and stored in a central database and an entity's database. In response to a user request to view the availability of the entity, a scheduling system can retrieve the scheduling data of an entity from the central database. The scheduling database system attempts to connect to an entity to propagate a scheduling entry in near time. If a connection to the entity from the scheduling database system can be made, the system updates the entity's database in near time. However, an attempted connection may have a fail status due to network issues and/or a VPN connection being unavailable. If a connection is unavailable, the updated scheduling data is propagated via a synchronization process. In the scheduling database system, a scheduling entry in the central scheduling database includes a synchronization status that marks the scheduling entry for future propagation.

  • Patent number: 5906487
Abstract: A mirror assembly adaptable for use in conjunction with a microscope comprises a sapphire substrate having an outer surface for forming a damage-resistant first surface, and an inner surface with a layer of reflective material adhered to the inner surface of the sapphire substrate for providing a reflective second surface to produce a mirror optical image. The sapphire substrate provides support and protection for the reflective material layer and reflective second surface, whereby a bright, single, mirror optical image is provided for microscopic magnification.

  • Patent number: 5733119
Abstract: Microsurgical drill bits for selective connection to an ultrasonic transducer head for use in dental retro-filling preparations each have a hub at one end for coupling to the transducer head, a cutting tip at the opposite end, and a shaft extending from the hub to the tip. The shaft has one or more steps in diameter at a predetermined position in its length designed for optimum vibration of the cutting tip without increasing the breakage rate above acceptable limits. The drilling tips have shafts which are angled relative to the hub and at least some have bent end portions so that the cutting tip is at an angle to the remainder of the shaft, allowing the transducer head to be held at a comfortable angle.

  • Patent number: 5094617
Abstract: A drilling tool for dental retro-filling preparation comprises an ultrasonic transducer head and one or more elongate drill members for selectively securing to the transducer head. The or each drill member comprises an elongate shaft having a suitable securing mechanism at one end for coupling to the transducer head and a hooked portion at the opposite end comprising the drilling tip which projects at an angle to the remainder of the shaft. The hooked end portion of the shaft is inserted through an appropriate opening in the jawbone until it is located adjacent the tooth root and aligned with the axis of the root, and the transducer head is switched on to cause ultrasonic vibrations in the tip which cut a bore in the tooth root.
