  • Fishing line dispenser and display package

    Abstract: A fishing line dispenser and display package 10 having a cover 12 and a container section 14 that rotatably engage and support a spool of fishing line 26. The spool 26 rotates around a spindle 54 formed in the dispenser 10. Internal threads 40, formed on the inner circumference of the lip ring 16 provide threadable engagement of cover 12 to the external threads 38 carried by a mouth ring 36 of container 14. A fluid tight seal is provided between cover 12 and container 14 when line is not being dispensed. The fishing line 24 is dispensed through a fishing line feed aperture 22. Also contained within dispenser 10 is a resilient pad 34 for engaging a side wall 48 of the spool 26 and housing 10 thereby providing drag to the fishing line 24 being dispensed.

    Abstract: The present invention is a multi-purpose device for use by fishermen. A first lever arm includes a handle, a primary jaw element and a secondary jaw element. A second lever arm includes a handle and a primary jaw element. The second lever arm is pivotally connected to the first lever arm so that the primary jaw elements form a pair of primary jaws for gripping, crimping or cutting. A jaw member includes a flange and a secondary jaw element. The jaw member is pivotally connected to the first lever arm in proximity to the secondary jaw element so that the secondary jaw elements form a pair of secondary jaws for gripping hooks embedded in the gullet of a fish. A connecting link is pivotally connected between the second lever arm and the jaw member, so that the primary and secondary jaws simultaneously open and close in response to pivotal movement of the handles relative to each other.

    Abstract: A portable rotary snow thrower is disclosed. The housing of the snow thrower is baffled to cause the snow to be thrown to one side for a particular direction of rotation of the rotor. The rotor may also be rotated in the opposite direction to throw the snow to the opposite side of the snow thrower through the same opening without repositioning of baffles or other mechanical elements.
