Abstract: A shelf attachment for a flat panel display having a flat plate that can be positioned horizontally on the top edge of a flat panel display. The shelf attachment includes a flange on a first end thereof that extends downward therefrom onto the front of the flat panel display in order to maintain the flat plate in position. The bottom surface of the flat plate may further include hook and loop fastening material that engages with a strip of hook and loop fastening material positioned on the top edge of the flat panel display. An adjustable support arm is pivotally secured to the bottom surface of the flat plate at a second end thereof. The adjustable support arm rests against the back of the flat panel display in order to provide the flat plate with stability so that it can be maintained in position on the flat panel display.
