  • Publication number: 20210153645
Abstract: The foldaway shelving unit comprises at least one shelf spaced from a floor of the vehicle. The at least one shelf is moveable between a foldout position and a stored position. At least one end panel connects the at least one shelf to at least one support. The at least one end panel includes a mounting bracket and a mounting arm. The mounting bracket connects to the at least one shelf and the mounting arm connects to the at least one support. A hinge allows the mounting bracket to rotate between the foldout position and the stored position. The mounting bracket has a first stopping surface and a second stopping surface each spaced from one another. A stopper extends outwardly from the mounting bracket for engaging the first stopping surface in the foldout position and for engaging the second stopping surface in the stored position.

  • Publication number: 20210114498
Abstract: A foldaway shelving unit for attachment within a vehicle comprises at least one shelf spaced from a floor of the vehicle for supporting a load on the at least one shelf in a foldout position of the foldaway shelving unit. At least one support extends between a first end adjacent the floor to a second end spaced above the floor. A connection member extends between the at least one support and the at least one shelf to connect the at least one shelf to the at least one support. The at least one shelf is moveable between the foldout position and a stored position with the at least one shelf extending upwardly from the connection member. The at least one shelf is disposed above the second end in the foldout position and in the stored position.

  • Patent number: 9878649
Abstract: The high density foldaway shelving unit of the present invention includes at least one shelf and at least two spaced posts. The shelf is mounted between the posts. A pair of cantilevered floor mounts is mounted to the floor of a vehicle. Each of the posts is mounted to a respective one of the cantilevered floor mounts to transfer weight to the cantilevered floor mounts. A pre-assembled shelf mounting assembly is provided for mounting the shelves to the posts. The pre-assembled shelf mounting assembly has a bracket mounted to the posts, a pivot pin mounted to the shelf and a guide pin for stopping the shelf in the raised and lowered position.

  • Patent number: 9764692
Abstract: A shelving unit for supporting objects in a vehicle includes one or more adjustable shelves all extending transversely and horizontally between a pair of upright side panels. A rear vertical rail extends along one edge of each of the side panels and defines a plurality of slot shaped rear apertures. A front vertical rail extends along an opposite and parallel edge of each side panel. Each adjustable shelf includes a pair of shelf sides extending parallel to and adjacent the side panels. A flange extends outwardly from each of the shelf sides with a bolt attaching the flange to a front vertical rail and applying a rearward biasing force to the adjustable shelf. A rear tab extends rearwardly from each of the shelf sides and is angled laterally inwardly to engage a rear aperture in a wedging force-fit in response to the rearward biasing force.
