  • Publication number: 20220124884
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices described herein provide for operating a lighting fixture with a plurality of light sources at a target chromaticity with a target output spectral power distribution. The methods include multiplying a first spectral power distribution by a second spectral power distribution to determine a product spectral power distribution, multiplying the product spectral power distribution by an illuminant spectral power distribution to determine the target output spectral power distribution at the target chromaticity, and driving the plurality of light sources at intensities corresponding to the target output spectral power distribution.

  • Patent number: 10779369
Abstract: An LED light fixture comprising a plurality of LEDs mounted on a substrate, wherein the plurality of LEDs include a lime/mint light source accounting for at least 25% of the total lumen output, and a deep red light source accounting for at least 0.5% of total lumen output. The lime/mint light source preferably accounts for at least 50% of the total lumen output. The deep red light source preferably accounts for at least 1.0% of the total lumen output. The light fixture can also include other colors, such as 1% to 50% cyan, 1% to 20% red/red-orange, and 1% to 10% blue/indigo. In one embodiment, the fixture further includes a processor for calculating a color mix and driving the LEDs. Preferably, the processor is programmed to produce a color mix having a CCT in the range of 2700-6500K, a TM-30 (Rf) of at least 90, and a TLCI of at least 95.

  • Patent number: 10772173
Abstract: A light fixture including an array of LED light sources corresponding to a color channel of the light fixture, a driver circuit configured to drive the array of LED light sources, and a controller. The controller controls the operation of the light fixture to receive a direct drive signal related to a direct drive signal value for the array of LED light sources, determine an output of a reference light fixture based on the direct drive signal, determine a value for a color channel drive signal based on the output of the reference light fixture, and provide a control signal to the driver circuit to cause the driver circuit to apply the color channel drive signal having the value to the array of LED light sources. The value for the color channel drive signal results in an output of the light fixture that matches the output of the reference light fixture.

  • Patent number: 9713222
Abstract: A method of controlling a plurality of light fixtures. The method includes determining first light outputs for each of the plurality of light fixtures. The method also includes determining a first spectrum of light reflected off of a surface. The method further includes determining a first difference between the first light outputs and desired light outputs for each of the plurality of light fixtures. The method also includes determining a second difference between the first spectrum of light reflected off of the surface and a desired spectrum of light reflected off of the surface. The method further includes calculating an updated output spectrum for the plurality of light fixtures based at least in part on the first difference and the second difference. The method also includes determining a second set of light source output values based at least in part on the updated output spectrum.

  • Patent number: 9451668
Abstract: A method of controlling a plurality of light fixtures. The method includes detecting the light outputs of a plurality of light fixtures and detecting a reflection of light from a surface. The light outputs and the reflection of light are analyzed. Differences among the light outputs of the plurality of light fixtures are determined, and a difference between the reflection of light and a desired reflection of light is determined. New or updated values for output color, output brightness, and/or output spectra are determined for the plurality of light fixtures such that the light outputs of the light fixtures are consistent and correspond to a desired light output, and such that the reflection of light corresponds to the desired reflection of light. Each of the plurality of light fixtures is then driven using respective light source output values to produce the desired light outputs.

  • Patent number: 6078995
Abstract: Two techniques are provided for implementing a least recently used (LRU) replacement algorithm for multi-way associative caches. A first method uses a special encoding of the LRU list to allow write only update of the list. The LRU list need only be read when a miss occurs and a replacement is needed. In a second method, the LRU list is integrated into the tags for each "way" of the multi-way associative cache. Updating of the list is done by writing only the "way" of the cache that hits.
