  • Patent number: 10812485
Abstract: Various systems and methods for authenticating a user are described herein. A system comprises a processor subsystem; and a memory including instructions, which when executed by the processor subsystem, cause the processor subsystem to: receive at a server from a first user device, a first authentication token; receive at the server from a second user device, a second authentication token; authenticate the user based on the first and second authentication tokens; and establish a communication session from the server to the first user device when the user is authenticated.

  • Patent number: 10628831
Abstract: In an example, a method for implementing a disclosure message requirement may include operations to detect a condition requiring an output of the disclosure message and to control output of the disclosure message, in a communication session that follows a process workflow. The process workflow may be modified to include pausing further actions in the process workflow, outputting of the disclosure message in the communication session, and then resuming actions in the process workflow in response to successfully outputting the entire disclosure message to a customer user. In some examples, the communication session involves a telephone call session between a customer service agent and a customer. In some examples, user interface functions related to the process workflow are disabled and then enabled, to prevent the agent from proceeding in the process workflow for a product or service until the disclosure has been successfully output.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20160266032
Abstract: A photometer is provided for measuring the concentration of a chromophore in a fluid. The photometer includes a light source, a sample cell and a detector. The light source includes first, second, third and fourth light emitting diodes (LEDs). Each of the first and second LEDs emit light at a measurement wavelength and each of the third and fourth LEDs emit light at a reference wavelength. The first and second LEDs are arranged diagonal to each other and the third and fourth LEDs are arranged diagonal to each other. The photometer performs a routine for correcting concentration measurement for LED drift.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 6436636
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for treating heart failure. Methods are disclosed for screening pharmacologicals that inhibit the down-regulatory activity of AUF1 or AUF1-related polypeptide for &bgr;-adrenergic activity. Methods are disclosed for treating a patient with a high level of the AUF1 or AUF1-related gene.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 3, 1998

Assignees: Wake Forest University, University Technology Corporation
Inventors: J. David Port, Gary Brewer
  • Patent number: 5733728
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for detecting and treating heart failure which are based on the down-regulatory activity of the cytoplasmic RNA-binding polypeptide, AUF1 (A+U-rich element RNA-binding/degradation Factor) toward .beta.-adrenergic receptors. Methods are disclosed for detecting pharmacologicals that inhibit the down-regulatory activity of AUF1 polypeptide for .beta.-adrenergic activity. Methods are disclosed for treating a patient with a high level of the AUF1 gene.
