Embodiments of the invention disclose ball-and-socket and disc joint couplings between a hairdryer barrel and handle. Embodiment linkage apparatus is disclosed providing mechanical contact between the barrel and a rotatory electrical interface, permitting the barrel to be freely rotatable relative to the handle while maintaining electrical contact.
