Abstract: A jewellery retention device for fastening a jewellery item which comprises a retention post, said retention device comprising a body and having an opening configured to receive a post, said retention device comprising a friction member having a first end associated with the body and a second end which is configured to be contacted by the post upon insertion of the post, said body additionally providing an abutment to support the post and provide a reaction to the force imposed on the post by said second end of the friction member, said opening comprising at least in part a receiving region through which the post may move substantially freely and into which the post may be laterally displaced and received from between the first friction member and abutment in a direction substantially perpendicular to the length of the post.

Abstract: An airbag rescue system employed as a life-saving system to enable a person to survive an avalanche or other situation, such as a water rescue. The airbag system includes an air movement device that takes the form of a source of compressed air or an electrically powered air mover, such as one that includes a bladed rotor for inflating the airbag with ambient air, such as 100% ambient air, for example. The system further includes a supporting device, such as a harness or a backpack, for supporting the inflatable airbag and the powered air movement device on a user in a ready position of the airbag rescue system. The system also includes triggering device that includes a trigger handle configured and arranged to initiate inflation of the inflatable airbag by being manipulated by the user. In the ready position of the airbag rescue system, while the airbag is not yet in a deployed position, the trigger handle is conveniently externally accessible for the user to trigger the inflation of the airbag.

Abstract: A trailer is provided for removing a boat lift from a body of water. The trailer has a trailer body with a stationary axle at one end thereof. A lifting surface is movably positioned relative to the trailer body and is movable upwardly therefrom with a scissor lift. A pivoting axle assembly is provided on the trailer body so as to lift the wheels of the stationary axle to allow for the trailer to be moved within the boat lift. When the wheels of the stationary axle are lowered by raising the pivoting axle assembly, the lifting surface can then be moved upwardly so as to contact and lift the boat lift out of the body of water.
