    Abstract: A device and method are provided for side-drilling of catheters. The method comprises storing side-drilling hole patterns, selecting a side-drilling hole pattern, positioning the catheter at successive locations defined by the pattern, and drilling holes at the locations. The device carries out the method to side-drill catheters.

  • Precision tipping device for surgical catheters

    Abstract: A device is provided for precision tipping catheters with repeatable accuracy. The device includes a die, a thermal heater for the die, a clamping pad for holding an untipped catheter in an aligned position, a lead screw for moving the catheter into and out of the die a precise distance, and a forced air cooler for cooling the tipped catheter. Preferably, the lead screw is rotated by a stepping motor.
