  • Patent number: 7416244
Abstract: A vibration isolator including at least one bearing element or assembly providing a contact interface along which structural elements connected together by the vibration isolator are allowed to substantially freely move within a limited range one relative to the other, with the effect of isolating the respective structural elements from vibrations or vibratory movements of the other structurally element, particular those vibratory movements directed or oriented at least generally along or parallel to the contact interface, with particular effect for isolating low frequency vibratory movements.

  • Patent number: 6889492
Abstract: A drive for transferring sideward motion from a first or driving elongate sickle knife to a second or driven elongate sickle knife longitudinally aligned with the first sickle knife. A double rack and pinion arrangement is used including at least one pinion mounted at a fixed location, a first sidewardly extending rack is connected to the first sickle knife for sideward movement therewith and a second sidewardly extending rack is connected to the second sickle knife for sideward movement therewith, the racks both being enmeshed with the pinion such that sideward movement of the driving knife causes corresponding opposite sideward movement of the longitudinally aligned driven knife.

  • Patent number: 6679772
Abstract: A foldable extension for increasing a grain holding capacity of a grain tank of an agricultural harvesting machine. The grain tank includes angularly related upper peripheral portions defining an upwardly facing opening, and the extension includes a corresponding number of extension panels mounted for pivotal movement about the respective upper peripheral portions of the grain tank. Each of the extension panels is pivotally positionable in a deployed position extending upwardly and outwardly relative to the opening of the grain tank at an acute angle of less than about 80° to horizontal, and a generally horizontal folded position extending over a portion of the opening, adjacent ones of the extension panels having adjacent ends defining corner spaces therebetween when in the deployed position.

  • Patent number: 5648706
Abstract: A series motor for an appliance or tool, such as a circular saw, includes a regenerative braking circuit having brake windings in addition to the run windings. One of the brushholder assemblies includes a push-away feature for separating one of the brushes from the commutator prior to the time the brush could wear to an extent that direct current reversal might not be available to achieve the desired braking action.

  • Patent number: 4926904
Abstract: A housing for a pressure washer for internal components of the washer such as a pump, an electric motor for the pump and a valve assembly. The housing has first and second identical interconnected housing halves. The inner surface of the housing halves include pairs of ribs interacting to engage the internal components.

  • Patent number: 4851724
Abstract: A pressure washer according to the preferred teachings of the present invention is disclosed including a pump driven by a gear reduced, high speed, series universal motor supported in a housing by a switch housing. The motor is stopped and started by a pressure actuation switch to remove the necessity of an unloader valve. A valve assembly is provided which includes provisions for allowing or for preventing weepage through the pump and for relieving excessive pressure. The housing is formed of identical, non-mirror image housing halves which are interconnected end for end. Pairs of ribs upstand from the inner surface of the housing halves, with the first of the pair of ribs of the first housing half interacting with the second of the pair of ribs of the second housing half to engage the internal components while the second of the pair of the first housing half and the first of the pair of the second housing half not interfering with the internal components.

  • Patent number: 4744516
Abstract: There is disclosed herein a liquid spray gun which includes an improved heat dissipation system and an improved leakage flow recirculating system. The improved heat dissipation system results from an improved and stronger air flow through the gun housing and around the electromagnetic coils. The improved air flow is created by a venturi or aspiration effect at the spray tip created by the action of the piston pump in spraying liquid at high velocity reducing the air pressure adjacent the tip. The internal portion of the housing communicates with the low pressure area so air in the housing is drawn from the housing to the low pressure area. Vents are provided in the housing adjacent the electromagnetic coils for outside air to be drawn into said housing over said coils and to the low pressure area, thus improving air flow and heat dissipation.

  • Patent number: 4723564
Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning both the interior and exterior of a paint dispensing roller that has a water inlet attachable to a faucet with a one-way valve to prevent reverse water flow through the inlet, a first water outlet from which water is supplied through a conduit into the inside of the roller flushing it clean, and a ring holding the roller having a second water outlet communicating with the water inlet to supply water to clean the exterior of the paint roller. The ring snugly fits around the roller in order to hold it in place, and also functions to wipe the water from the roller.

  • Patent number: 4620669
Abstract: There is disclosed herein a liquid spray gun which may be used for spraying paint. The gun includes a piston pump for withdrawing liquid from a reservoir and providing a force for spraying the liquid. The gun also includes a nozzle for receiving liquid from the piston and spraying the liquid under pressure. The piston pump includes a collection port for accumulating leakage liquid or flow from within the pump. A fluid circuit collects leakage liquid from the collection port and delivers the leakage liquid to a position forward and adjacent the nozzle. The fluid circuit includes a conduit having an inlet end connected to the collection port and an outlet end positioned adjacent the nozzle. The high velocity spray creates a low pressure area adjacent the nozzle and a venturi effect in the fluid circuit means for cooperation in drawing the liquid from the collection port to the nozzle.
