  • Publication number: 20210070450
Abstract: In-vehicle entertainment (WE) monitor systems can be reconfigurable and modular to improve heat dissipation characteristics and to enable separate removal or installation of one or more parts within the WE monitor system without affecting the rest of the IVE monitor system. A modular system for providing in-vehicle entertainment to passengers on a commercial passenger vehicle includes a main housing, a peripheral housing, and a display panel that are separately removable or installable. A main printed circuit board (PCB) in the main housing is electrically connected to a secondary PCB in the peripheral housing via the first data cable and the secondary PCB is electrically connected to the display panel via the second data cable in a series configuration.

  • Patent number: 9669932
Abstract: A display for viewing by a passenger from a seat on a vehicle when the display is mounted to structure in front of the passenger when the passenger is seated in the seat. The structure has a recess and a portion surrounding the recess. The display includes an electronic visual display panel for receiving a display signal and displaying information in correspondence therewith to the passenger on the electronic visual display panel. The display further includes a housing in which the electronic visual display panel is mounted or inserted, with the housing including a periphery. At least one fastener is provided including a structural fuse. The structural fuse deforms and/or fractures under force generated by a passenger's head striking the visual display panel in an accident. Due to crumple of the fuse, movement of the housing is permitted, with the display panel inserted therein, relative to the recess.

  • Publication number: 20160280483
Abstract: A system may include a robotic arm and a Bernoulli cup assembly powered by a vacuum source and coupled to the robotic arm. The Bernoulli cup assembly may lift a document, and the robotic arm may move the Bernoulli cup assembly with the lifted document to a document scanner for imaging the document. The system may further include an input bin, a scanner cover disposed over an imaging surface of the document scanner, and an output bin. A method may include lifting a document from an input bin via suction pressure using a Bernoulli cup assembly, robotically moving the Bernoulli cup assembly with the lifted document to a document scanner, and scanning the document. The method may further include robotically moving the Bernoulli cup assembly with the lifted document away from the document scanner, and de-activating the suction pressure to release the document from the Bernoulli cup assembly.
