  • Patent number: 11921879
Abstract: Embodiments relate to processing a request from a user device for access rights for a resource. An access management system can send a request to query a (e.g., cached or authoritative) data store for available access rights. The query may include an exact-match or fuzzy query. A set of access-right results responsive to the query can be identified. The system may transmit a communication to the user device that identifies the set, or a subset thereof. Upon receiving a selection of a result, the system can facilitate assigning access rights corresponding to the identified result to the user. In some instances, a level of precision at which a characteristic of an access-right result is identified and/or whether or how access rights are held depends on a request load.

  • Patent number: 11782668
Abstract: Devices for mitigating or stopping noise or surface current on a display are provided. An electronic device including a display may include a display substrate, a mid-support plate that is adjacent to the display substrate, and a lower support plate that is adjacent to the mid-support plate. A space exists between the mid-support plate and the lower support plate. The mid-support plate includes one or more electromagnetic band gap (EBG) structures formed through the mid-support plate, one or more electromagnetic band gap structures mounted onto the mid-support plate, or both. The one or more electromagnetic band gap structures may mitigate or stop surface current flow across the display.

  • Patent number: 11500094
Abstract: Sensing apparatus includes a radiation source, which emits pulses of optical radiation toward multiple points in a target scene. A receiver receives the optical radiation that is reflected from the target scene and outputs signals that are indicative of respective times of flight of the pulses to and from the points in the target scene. Processing and control circuitry selects a first pulse repetition interval (PRI) and a second PRI, greater than the first PRI, from a permitted range of PRIs, drives the radiation source to emit a first sequence of the pulses at the first PRI and a second sequence of the pulses at a second PRI, and processes the signals output in response to both the first and second sequences of the pulses in order to compute respective depth coordinates of the points in the target scene.

  • Publication number: 20150126132
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for radio co-existence and/or component testing in wireless-enabled electronic devices. In one embodiment, a wireless-enabled electronic device (ED) is coupled to a user interface. Test personnel or other supervisory entities can execute test scripts from the user interface. Unlike prior art testing configurations, the disclosed embodiments are configured to perform testing without requiring additional equipment, configuration changes, etc. to the device being evaluated. In one exemplary case, the test scripts are configured to test various co-existence scenarios. The resulting data can be used to quickly identify problem devices via highly accurate results, as well as provide useful statistical data.

  • Publication number: 20100256008
Abstract: It has been discovered that enhancer signatures distinguish enhancer elements from other regulatory elements and that the characteristic enhancer signatures vary in a cell-type specific manner. These discoveries provide the basis for novel methods of predicting, diagnosing and monitoring of diseases, particularly cancer.

  • Publication number: 20020041434
Abstract: An all fiber optical filter is formed by stretching an optical fiber. The all fiber filter includes a core, an inner cladding, and an outer cladding. A core index of refraction is greater than an outer cladding index of refraction. The outer cladding index of refraction is greater than an inner cladding index of refraction. The all fiber optical filter attenuates a portion of an optical signal by transferring optical energy from the core to the outer cladding by evanescent coupling. The all fiber optical filter has a compact structure, which prevents bending and provides stable temperature performance. The all fiber optical filter is preferably used in Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) systems for gain flattening of gain responses from Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifiers (EDFAs). Alternatively, the all fiber optical filter is used in other applications where optical filtering or attenuation is needed.
