  • Patent number: 9803839
Abstract: An IC-rated airtight luminaire including a housing divided on a vertical plane to form two housing portions releasably coupled to one another to form an open cylindrical lower portion, a heat sink upper housing portion, and a heat conducting lamp assembly adjustment track enclosed within the housing. Disposed within the housing are heat sink walls slidably capturing a slide portion of a lamp assembly. A lamp holder integral with the slide bar includes a lens that directs a beam of light through an opening in a ceiling substrate in which the housing is installed, and an expansion ring rotatingly disposed around the open cylindrical lower portion of the housing engages and secures the housing in a ceiling substrate while also permitting the housing to freely turn within the expansion ring so as to allow adjustment of a beam of light directed from the lamp assembly.

  • Publication number: 20070065242
Abstract: A debris shield for a rotary tool or machine for collecting debris generated while cutting or drilling holes in a work surface has a debris collection housing having a top structure, side walls depending from said top cover structure to form a debris collection chamber, an open bottom with a surface contact rim, and a compression axis extending through the housing's top structure and bottom opening. In one aspect of the invention, the debris collection housing is a bellows housing with a vacuum port, and has a shank-holding and vent assembly in top structure of the bellows housing for receiving and rotatably holding the shank of a rotary surface working implement such as a drill bit, spade bit or hole saw. In another aspect of the invention the debris collection housing can be either a bellows type housing or rigid housing, and can have a vacuum port or not.

  • Patent number: 6331091
Abstract: An axle is made-up of a left and a right axle halves which axially engage to form a completed axle assemble for supporting a roller skate wheel or other rotating member. A control rod is positioned and enabled for axial translation within the axle and may be moved by physical contact with the rod through an access hole at one end of the axle. A spring normally positions the control rod so that a set of ball bearings mounted within radial holes in the axle are forced into outward positions for engaging the axle halves to form a unitary unit. When the control rod is translated against spring tension, however, the bearings are able to move radially inwardly so as to disengage the axle halves for quick disassembly for replacing a wheel or other need. The axle provides a spring bias enabled for forcefully separating the axle halves once released. A threaded cap is adjustable in its position to moderate the separating force.

  • Patent number: 5967241
Abstract: An ATV lift handle is provided for an all terrain vehicle having a vertically movable blade at the forward end thereof. The vertical movement of the blade is controlled by a lift handle positioned rearwardly thereof and which is pivotally mounted on a lift handle bracket. The lift handle bracket has a locking pin movably mounted thereon which protrudes outwardly and rearwardly therefrom when in its extended locked position. The locking pin is movable from its extended locked position to a retracted non-locking position against the resiliency of a spring operatively connected thereto. When it is desired to lock the blade in its upper non-working position, the lift handle is pivotally moved rearwardly of the protruding locking pin and is placed in engagement therewith to prevent the lift handle from moving forwardly.

  • Patent number: 5810571
Abstract: An oil pump for high performance internal combustion engines suitable for use with race cars and the like wherein extended wear and tolerance maintenance is achieved by supporting the pump gears on shafts extending through the gears. Balanced dual support of the pump gears is achieved by forming bearing openings in the pump lower housing receiving the lower gear shaft portions and lubrication of the lower housing supported gear shafts is achieved by oil passages communicating with the bearings and the lower housing oil outlet cavity. Screw in plugs and retainers are employed to insure effective assembly even under high vibration, and a bolt-on screened oil inlet achieves superior rigidity and ease of replacement.

  • Patent number: 5746275
Abstract: A three-point hitch for an all terrain vehicle (ATV) comprising a mounting frame which is attached to the axle housing of the ATV. The mounting frame is supported on the tongue hitch of the ATV and is attached to the body of the ATV so that the rear suspension of the ATV is locked-out. The multiple-point hitch is operatively secured to the mounting frame and is raised and lowered by means of an electromechanical screw actuator. The multiple-points of the hitch are free to float, in some situations, with respect to the mounting frame and the ATV.

  • Patent number: 5716061
Abstract: A dolly for moving a snowmobile on a supporting surface such as a garage floor, ground, etc., wherein the dolly may be positioned beneath the snowmobile from the forward portion of the snowmobile. The dolly has a jack associated therewith which may be operated to raise the track portion of the snowmobile from the ground. The forward end of the dolly may then be moved upwardly so that the skis of the snowmobile are also moved out of engagement with the supporting surface. The snowmobile may then be conveniently moved from one location to another.

  • Patent number: 5615745
Abstract: An all terrain vehicle having a vertically movable blade at the forward end thereof is described wherein the vertical movement of the blade is controlled by a lift handle positioned rearwardly thereof and which is pivotally mounted on a lift handle bracket. The lift handle has a locking pin mounted thereon which is positioned rearwardly of the rearward end of the lift handle bracket when the blade is in its raised position. When it is desired to lower the blade, the lift handle is pivotally moved with respect to the lift handle bracket to disengage the locking pin with respect to the rear end of a lift handle bracket. A rub block is positioned on the outer surface of the lift handle bracket for engagement with the lift handle to prevent the locking pin from wearing or cutting a groove in the lift handle bracket.
