  • Patent number: 5385238
Abstract: A cushion for placement into a shipping container comprises a bottom panel, a side panel foldably joined to the side edge of the bottom panel, a top panel foldably joined to the upper end of the side panel and disposed in a spaced parallel relation to the bottom panel, a support panel foldably joined to the top panel, the support panel being disposed in a spaced parallel relation to the side panel, an anchor flap foldably joined to the lower end of the support panel and secured to the bottom panel in a flat face contacting relation, the anchor flap extending from the lower end of the support panel in a direction away from the side panel, and a retaining flap for holding the cushion in a set-up condition. The cushion may be collapsed such that the top panel, the support panel and the anchor flap are disposed in the same plane.

  • Patent number: 5348148
Abstract: A container comprises front and rear opposed walls, a pair of opposed side walls, a pair of beveled shoulder walls, and a hanger support panel. The front and rear walls are interconnected by the side walls along generally parallel fold lines to form an upright tubular enclosure. The beveled shoulder walls are arranged adjacent to the tops of the side walls and extend between the front and rear walls. Each shoulder wall is disposed at an obtuse angle with respect to the adjacent side wall. The distance between the upper edges of the shoulder walls is less than the distance between the lower edges of the shoulder walls. The hanger support panel is foldably joined to the top edge of the rear wall. The support panel rests on and bridges between the upper edges of the shoulder walls. The support panel is provided with hanger-engaging slot so that a hanger-supported article to be placed in the tubular enclosure can hang from the support panel.

  • Patent number: 5197606
Abstract: A cushioning member comprises top and bottom spaced parallel panels and a pair of spaced parallel side panels foldably joined to the bottom panel along fold lines. The top panel includes a pair of panel portions foldably joined respectively to the side panels along fold lines. The panel portions overlap each other and are secured together in a flat face contacting relation. Teh fold lines are parallel to one another, and thereby the cushioning member may be collapsed along the fold lines. A retaining flap is provided to hold the cushioning member in a squared, set-up condition.

  • Patent number: 5143283
Abstract: A reinforced container for use in packing and shipping a large object is disclosed. The container includes a framework and a covering fitted around the framework. The framework includes a bottom latticework for supporting the object to be packed, a top latticework disposed substantially parallel to the bottom latticework to define a space for the object between the latticeworks, and spaced parallel posts extending and interposed between the latticeworks to maintain the space for the object. Each of the post members has upper and lower end portions separably engaged respectively with the top and bottom latticeworks to maintain the post members erected in positions between the latticeworks. The latticeworks and the posts are not fixedly connected to each other. The covering, however, holds the latticeworks and the posts together in assembled condition.
