  • Publication number: 20220053431
Abstract: Embodiments of a method of operation of a power control coordinator to control transmission power of a plurality of Device-to-Device (D2D) pairs that co-exist with a Cellular User Equipment (CUE) that communicates with a base station of a cellular communications network comprises obtaining, for a particular time slot, delayed Network State Information (NSI) feedback from at least some of the plurality of D2D pairs. The method further comprises computing transmission powers for the D2D pairs, respectively, for the particular time slot using On-Line Convex Optimization (OCO) to solve an optimization problem that maximizes a weighted sum data rate of D2D pairs with a constraint of maximum expected interference to the base station. The method further comprises providing, to each D2D pair, an indication of the computed transmission power for the D2D pair for the particular time slot.

  • Patent number: 11213671
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide an electroporation system comprising an electroporation probe having at least two contiguous electrodes configured to be inserted into biological tissue for electroporation treatment, and a pulse generator electrically connected to the probe and configured to drive the electroporation probe using a sequence of one or more electric pulses to cause current transmission through the probe and induce a non-uniform electric field in the biological tissue proximate the probe electrodes. Treatment tissue can be targeted by controlling the probe configuration, carrier solution characteristics and parameters of the electroporation pulse sequence to achieve predictable electroporation outcomes. This electroporation control method can also reduce potentially toxic effects of electroporation treatment.

  • Patent number: 11208361
Abstract: In embodiments, the present invention relates to liquid formulations containing hydrophobic, biodegradable polymers dispersed within a Non-aqueous Organic Solvent Delivery System (NOSDS) that is designed to coat fertilizer granules with a hydrophobic film utilizing simple application equipment such as mixers, blenders and tumblers. This film can impede the dissolution of fertilizer components by water improving fertilizer efficiency. The NOSDS can be aprotic solvents, protic solvents and mixtures of protic and aprotic solvents which are environmentally friendly, have flashpoints above 145° F., and are inherently rated safe for contact with humans and animals. The hydrophobic polymers are the reaction product of aldehyde(s) and nitrogen containing compounds.

  • Patent number: 11112852
Abstract: A system includes storage devices storing data units. Each data unit is stored on one of the storage devices. The system includes a processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable data storage medium storing computer-executable code. The processor executes the code to correlate workloads to the data units with respect to which of the workloads access which of the data units, and when the workloads access the data units. The processor executes the code to when the workloads access the data units and/or and on which of the storage devices the data units are stored, so that at given times the data units stored on a subset of the storage devices are not being accessed by any workload. The processor executes the code to, during each given time, power off the subset of the storage devices storing the data units that are not being accessed by any workload to conserve power.
