  • Patent number: 10359131
Abstract: An extendible and collapsible pressure hose system can be created which comprises a collapsible pressure hose with a hose output connector mounted on one end and a fluid control system mounted on the other. In such a system, the collapsible pressure hose can, but need not comprise a coiled support wire, a convoluted hose body and/or an outer reinforcement cover. A fluid control system can comprise an input connector attached to hose, input connector housing, a main valve, and a pump. In such a fluid control system, the main valve can direct fluid within hose in three modes: 1) an open mode, where fluid pressure extends hose for use, 2) a retract mode, where the pump is used to pump fluid out of the hose, and 3) a closed mode, where no fluid can flow and in which the hose can be stowed.

  • Patent number: 10309560
Abstract: A multi-layer pressure actuated extendable hose for use in transporting fluids between a source location and an output location includes an extendible hose comprising a biasing element, a sealing layer, and a reinforced cover layer. The sealing layer forms a sealed conduit for transporting the fluids, and the reinforced cover layer on the outside provides radial and longitudinal strength for the sealing layer. The hose can be operated by increasing internal pressure within the hose relative to ambient pressure. When the hose is pressurized by a fluid source, the internal pressure of the hose overcomes the retracting force of the biasing element and the hose extends. When the fluid source is turned off or disconnected from the hose, internal pressure is reduced and the biasing element exerts a tension force on the hose causing the hose to retract.

  • Publication number: 20180259096
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a tubular woven hose cover includes feeding a plurality of longitudinal yarns into a weaving machine in an axial direction relative to the woven hose cover being made, weaving one or more radial yarns in and out of the plurality of longitudinal yarns in a radial direction relative to the woven hose cover being made, reducing a circumferential length of the one or more radial yarns and thereby generating a first cross-sectional diameter along a first portion of the woven hose cover, and increasing the circumferential length of the one or more radial yarns and thereby generating a second cross-sectional diameter along a second portion of the woven hose cover, wherein the first cross-sectional diameter is smaller than the second cross-sectional diameter.

  • Patent number: 9925654
Abstract: A folding multifunction wrench for tightening or loosening a plurality of different sized rotary fasteners, comprising at least two wrench heads attached to their own respective wrench arm with the wrench arms pivotally mounted together at a hinge and pivotal (foldable) to a smaller stowed position or extend to a larger operational position. Individual wrench arms can be used either as a wrench handle or as a wrench tool depending on which end of the wrench the user grasps. During use, the rotational axes of the gripping surfaces on the wrench head can be oriented within ten degrees of being perpendicular to the hinge axis of the two or more wrench arms, whereby torque can be transmitted across the hinge axis for turning the plurality of different sized rotary fastener.
