Publication number: 20150283445Abstract: Embodiments of the present general inventive concept provide a sport swing aid device configured to be worn around the head and/or neck of a wearer during a sports swing in order to encourage proper posture of the wearer's head before and during the sport swing. In some example embodiments, the device includes a solid rotation plate adapted to engage one side of the wearer's neck and mandibular region so as to prevent the wearer from rotating his or her head prematurely before and during a sport swing. The device also includes a conforming strap adapted to conform to and encircle the neck of the wearer, with a proximate end of the strap coupled to one side of the rotation plate and a distal end thereof provided with a means to releasably secure it to the rotation plate.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 3, 2014Publication date: October 8, 2015Inventor: Gary Dunn Waddell

Patent number: 8580116Abstract: A process for fractionating the constituents of a solution obtained by extracting plant or animal material with an aqueous-organic solvent where the aqueous-organic solvent is a mixture of water and a water-miscible organic solvent, generally including the steps of contacting the solution with a near-critical fluid to produce a raffinate phase containing high polarity constituents and water, and a near-critical fluid phase containing low to medium polarity constituents, separating the near-critical fluid phase from the raffinate phase, and recovering the low to medium polarity constituents from the near-critical fluid phase and the high polarity constituents from the raffinate phase.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2007Date of Patent: November 12, 2013Assignee: Industrial Research LimitedInventors: Owen John Catchpole, John Bertram Grey, Nicola Emma Durling, Kameron Gary Dunn

Patent number: 7942542Abstract: There is disclosed a backlit display structure with multiple LED's arranged to transmit light into a light guide plate configured to uniformly illuminate the back of a readily replaceable translucent image sheet. The display may be incorporated with a decorative frame which also may be illuminated by the same or different LED's. The display powered by a rechargeable battery pack may also be incorporated in table top boxes for condiments, straws, napkins or other conveniences for restaurant customers where it is useful for displaying replaceable advertising or current featured menu items. In another form the guide plate does not uniformly illuminate an image sheet but only illuminates temporary marks thereon from a crayon or marker, thereby providing an illuminated blackboard.Type: GrantFiled: June 19, 2009Date of Patent: May 17, 2011Inventor: Gary Dunn

Publication number: 20060212567Abstract: The disclosure is directed to an enterprise system including a message topic, a monitor definition, a monitoring manager, and an alert topic. The message topic includes a message associated with performance of a distributed computing application. The monitor definition includes performance rules for evaluating data associated with the message associated with the distributed computing application. The monitor definition is associated with a role. The monitoring manager is configured to access the message topic. The alert topic is configured to receive an alert message from the monitoring manager. The monitoring manager provides the alert message in accordance with the monitor definition. The alert message is accessible to a user associated with the role.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2005Publication date: September 21, 2006Applicant: SBC Knowledge Ventures, L.P.Inventors: Robert Gulledge, Brian Bearden, Gary Dunn, Michael Khalili

Patent number: 7074450Abstract: A method for making a dehydrated mashed potato product by cooking fresh potatoes including defects, ricing the cooked potatoes by urging the same through multiple openings in a ricing barrier to form riced moist potato pieces exiting the ricing barrier separated from potato defects which do not pass through the ricing barrier, reforming (e.g., by extrusion) the riced moist potato pieces by applying pressure to form riced, reformed moist potato pieces, and drying the riced, reformed potato pieces to a moisture content of about 5–10%. A dried mashed potato product comprising dried potato pieces which reconstitute in water at 180° F. under light stirring conditions to a mashed potato product having soft lumps characteristic of fresh mashed potatoes at a concentration of about 10 g to 80 g of soft lumps per 400 g of rehydrated product.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 2002Date of Patent: July 11, 2006Assignee: Basic American, Inc.Inventors: Tami Hill, Phil Bates, Seiji Shiratori, Kern Cooper, Warren Simon, Will McArthur, Lloyd Rockwood, Doug Davlin, Gary Dunn, Marlin Herrick, J. Patent number: 5647286Abstract: An extension for a table or other furniture having a tubular leg. The extension has two cylindrical sections of lesser and greater diameter. The cylindrical section of lesser diameter penetrates into the tubular leg. The other cylindrical section is of diameter equal to that of the leg. Thus, the other section maintains the aesthetic effect of the leg, and also serves as a stop preventing excessive downward travel or migration of the leg onto the extension. In addition, a cap terminating the leg fits equally well onto the extension. Preferably, the extension is tubular, so that several extensions can be assembled onto the leg in stacked fashion if desired. In an alternative embodiment, the extension has a series of holes and a pin insertable into the holes, so that fine adjustment of the height of the furniture may be made.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1995Date of Patent: July 15, 1997Inventor: Gary Dunn
