    Abstract: A device for rotatably mounting on a mixing tube of a gas burner apparatus. The device includes a perforated shield portion for positioning over an air opening in the mixing tube to prevent insect intrusion therein, and an unperforated portion which partially or completely encloses an air opening of the mixing tube to prevent or limit primary air into said tube. A stop is provided on the device to limit rotation thereof and an extending tab provides for ease of rotation of the device on the mixing tube by providing an accessible surface against which pressure may be applied.

    Abstract: A gas line mounting assembly includes a bracket which is adapted for being secured to a cabinet of an appliance and a gas inlet fitting attached to the bracket. The fitting has a generally rectangular body disposed within a generally rectangular aperture in the bracket. The enlargement between the rectangular body and the rectangular aperture prevent rotation of the fitting with respect to the bracket. The bracket has a tab which is plastically deformed into a groove of the rectangular body to prevent longitudinal movement of the fitting with respect to the bracket.

    Abstract: A gas burner assembly for a brooding house has a gas burner which is fabricated from a precision steel stamping process. The gas burner has a venturi tube which extends between an orifice fitting and a burner head. The burner head is manufactured from an upper and a lower burner head. Each upper and lower burner head defines a plurality of burner ports with the ports of the lower burner head being in registry with the ports in the upper burner head to define the ports in the upper burner head to define the ports for the gas burner. The upper and lower burner heads are mechanically connected by a series of tabs and slots formed on the upper and lower burner head.

    Abstract: A gas range includes a gas distribution system which utilizes a gas manifold that includes a single gas inlet chamber. Communication between the gas inlet chamber and each of the burners is controlled by a respective valve assembly mounted in the gas inlet chamber. One of the valve assemblies is thermostatically controlled in response to a sensed temperature. The length of the gas manifold can be dictated by the spacing of the individual valve assemblies or it can be dictated by the spacing of the burners. The gas distribution system provides additional flexibility to the range designer while reducing costs by eliminating components.
