  • Patent number: 4835983
Abstract: An air conditioning kiosk for human occupants and automatic teller machines or the like. Intake and exhaust compartments hidden beneath the roof communicate with the outside through openings in a recessed coving. A conventional vapor compression, room air conditioner, mounted beneath the intake compartment draws outside air for cooling the conditioner's condenser, and discharges the air to the exhaust compartment. Air drawn from the interior of the kiosk is cooled by the conditioner's evaporator and recirculated. A fan in the intake compartment maintains a continuous supply of fresh air at a positive pressure in the kiosk.
