  • Patent number: 11214932
Abstract: A decking system provides a surface upon which traffic may travel. Drivable decking surfaces can support heavy vehicles, such as tanks. Exemplary decking systems include a first module, a second module, a first upper fastening assembly, a first lower fastening assembly, a second upper fastening assembly, and a second lower fastening assembly. These fastening assemblies can secure the first module and the second module together. Decking systems may also include side ramp assemblies and/or end ramp assemblies, and such ramp assemblies can be coupled with a decking platform. Fastening assemblies may include a pin, a first clip, and a second clip.

  • Publication number: 20190352874
Abstract: In certain embodiments, a cap repair assembly includes first and second pile brackets for rigid mounting onto first and second piles of a pier: a cap beam for rigid mounting onto super-structure of the pier; first and second cap beam plates for rigid mounting onto the cap beam at different ends of the cap beam; first and second compression arms rotatably connected (i) at first ends to the first and second pile brackets and (ii) at second ends to the first and second cap beam plates. The cap repair assembly restores the load capacity of damaged or degraded piers. The cap repair assembly can further include one or more steel banding straps.

  • Patent number: 8511341
Abstract: A marine fuel backflow preventer and overfill alarm for use with marine vessels includes a housing provided for in-line installation in the fuel fill inlet line and directs fuel entering the a fuel filling inlet generally directly to a fuel filling outlet such that the fuel passes freely through the back flow preventer while being directed to the vessel fuel tank. The housing further functions as a reservoir for containing fuel which has accumulated therein due to over-filling and/or that has been carried into the housing via the fuel tank vent line. By providing a fuel containing reservoir disposed in-line the present invention thus functions to prevent unintended fuel spillage into the environment. The back flow preventer further includes an electro-mechanical float switch that automatically activates an alarm upon sensing the presence of fuel within the housing.

  • Patent number: 6983590
Abstract: A diagnostic system according to the present invention diagnoses system failure of a secondary air injection system. The secondary air injection system includes a pump that provides air to an exhaust system via a conduit and a valve that controls the flow of air through the conduit. A pressure sensor measures pressure in the conduit. A controller predicts pressure in the conduit during first, second and third operational phases of the secondary air injection system. The controller compares the measured pressure to the predicted pressure to evaluate operation of the secondary air injection system. During the first phase, the secondary air injection system is used to reduce vehicle emissions. During the second phase, the valve is shut while the pump is on. During the third phase, the pump is turned off while the valve is closed.
